There is an NPC in the village to the left as you enter that lets you train the novice boxes...I forget his name and I'm too lazy to stop surveying on the other side of the village and go look.

this is very confusing so is this all right i go to the village and get my first training from an npc? I have a ton of exp to spend i already exp. exchanged thinking that is how i got the skills. Training is very difficult to figure out.

I have a question about resource qualities.
Say I want to make micronutrient supplements and I have some meat that is oq+pe+fl=1500, ie: not very good. Is there any point in using a flora that is oq+pe+fl=2200? Or would I get the same results if I used a flora that was 1500, same as the meat? I guess my question is, does your worst resource set the cap on the stats of what you are producing, or is it a combination of all of them?
Thanks.

No, that's not true. If you look at the formula, all three are weighed equally.
Besides, that wasn't my question.

Acutally some people around here went ot great lengths to prove that the resources are not wieghted evenly. I think it was found to be OQ:50% PE:30% FL:20%. It might even be on our issues list.
To answer your first question, it's a combo of all the resources used.

=1500 is not as important
For example if the Quality level was 10, it would not matter if the Flavor and Energy were both at 950 as it would drop it to much to be useful for anything but pet making
Generaly I stick to 800+ in all three stats or I use it for pets

The 33/33/33 thing is a bug in the display. To answer your question though, there is a tissue calculator where you can plug in the numbers, and see for yourself what effect various combinations will have.

My take has always been to never mix crap with godly resources. I figure I'll regret it later when I want to make something good.

If there is a reward for the quest, you receive upon completion. There are exceptions to this rule however, such as Phase 1 : Combat Prowess quest requires you to do 2 different sets of patrols to receive the reward. It just depends on the quest/phase....read the guides in the stickies on the top of the force sensitive forum page.

And if you got a quest by a free unlock or some other method (for example doing the Melee accuracy mission solo rather than grouped) you can't get another go at the quest im afraid, so you wont get the rewards.
