Hi, I'm planning on starting a new character that is MBE and MCH. I used a character builder and notice i still have enough points to get either 0/0/4/0 in riflemans or 3/0/0/0 on rangers.
my question is what is the best thing to add on to MBE and MCH. Thanks

If you choose the Ranger tree, I wouldn't go 3-0-0-0, as the conceal kits are currently of questionable value (4-0-4-0 ranger myself). They do help some against npcs, but imho that alone wouldn't be worth the skill point investment for you.The main advantage you'd get from that line is the upper half of Terrain Negotiation, allowing you to crawl faster when creeping up on really nasty critters to steal their DNA. The tracking line of ranger (0-0-4-0) would be more useful, allowing you both larger meat harvests and more creature information on Examine. /areatrack would sometimes help you find things you want to get dna from, and sometimes it wouldn't.

I know as a MBE/MCH that I've lamented giving up the ranger I had (got to 0020 I think). Of course at the time it didn't work well enough to make it worthwhile but it would be nice to have *some* clue which direction to go to find that dna I'm after for a specific characteristic in a custom pet I'm making.
I had carbine when I started CH and gave it up for pistol because I usually close to within 15m so I can harvest quickly when the target goes down. And the bodyshot damaged the same pool (health) which most of my pets were working on. When I got bored with that I gave up all marksman and got some TK.

I would say it would depend on what your focus is. If you are basically looking more towards being a crafter then I would go 0-0-4-0 in Ranger for the creature harvesting bonuses. If you are not as interested in crafting the definately go for Rifleman.
