Thread: Good news and bad news

The bad news first, I just made a lvl 75 gurrek using:
3x mutant rancor dna
2x merekharvester dna
I did all experimentation but 2 points (stupid me)
I should have only experimented all points but 4 (maybe 3 points)
The HAM on the thing was 12k+
and damage was 580-590
51% kinetic
and a few other specials but no energy
no ranged
and only dizzy special
Now here is the good news for all those BE's that made above lvl 70 paper weights, I tried about 10 times to sample from it, and I finally got one before it died. So the pet didn't go completly to waste.
You can sample pets above level 70 at least to level 75. Has anyone been able to sample anything higher than lvl 75?

Where did you find your mutant rancor? I've never seen one. Please, fill me in. I'm sorry about the CL, I hate that myself. Just be glad it didn't crit.

Mutant Rancors can be found around the sarlacc POI on Dathomir. Only Master BE's can sample from them, and make sure you have +25 mask scent clothing when you do. They are hard to sample from, if you can get close enough then it should take about 6 or 7 tries before you can get a sample from them.

Go by the Dathomir sarlacc and check around S-SW and you are more than like going to run into a few mutant rancor spawns. I seem them everytime I'm out around there.
