many people have their own ways..... but here's what i've used:

go to dathomir and sample mutant rancors

you only need to sample about 500 or so to get to sampling IV

I found DNA Sampling really easy. To me grinding through crafting skills is much more pain, I just don't havea patience to mindleslly click click and click again. DNA Sampling took me - overall - 3 days of normal play. First skill was hardest to obtain. I made it on Tatooine, samoling various low level creatures. Sampling II was partly Tatooine, partly Endor, sampling various Endorian low level creatures. You can probably safely ignore this part of my experience and go straight to Corellia and sample Sharnaffs. I made my III and IV there in just few hours. IV took maybe like 2 hours. Sharnaffs bulls gave me 480 exp, snarnaffs 360. I'm TKA too so I was not in any danger...

Now time to grind those crfafting IV skills...

i skipped the yard trash and went straight to dantooine andtook some lesser bols missions. if you dont have any combat, pull out a pet and have it guard you or use your bike and maskscent (if you have it). get in range, dismount, sample, and remount on your bike in case they aggro. gives about 124xp per sample and 15 bols per lair (about 2500-3k xp). did this till dna 2.

after that i went for larger bols (bol, seething bol, etc) and picket missions. same technique as above til 4. they give about 200+ to 300+xp per sample.

got all my dna xp in 2 days and got me some money while i was at it.

I was Master BE about 5 months ago and I did it completly on Dantooine. Sample the lesser plains bols for the first block. Then start working the Huurtons....then on to the pikets and bols. Its so easy it hurts.

I made master BE in 6 days. 3 days grinding and 3 days sampling.

Sampling 1 and 2 just get some brandy and sample the heck out of yard trash as fast as you can. If you carry some meat/flora around with you, you can get some crafting xp making pets.

Sampling 3 and 4 go to corellia and get sharnaff missions. 'Naffs give 300-400 each, aren't aggresive, and usually don't deathblow.

Pikets, it's all about the Pikets. There are usually a couple layers together, you just keep going from one to the other. Just keep at it, you'll get it...
