Thread: Droid Crafting Stations vs Private Stations for BE?

I'm curious if anyone has had any experience comparing in-droid food/chem crafting stations with stationary private stations, for Bio-engineer crafting. I've been looking at some of the old threads on the general topic but haven't seen any really clear consensus of one being clearly superior to the other. If droid stations come close to private stations for results, it would enable me to keep up my current "itinerant bio-engineer" lifestyle (at least until I'm forced to buy a house just for dna storage, anyway). Thanks in advance.

I was wondering the same thing last night...

It does seem like you get better results on a high end 40+ private crafting station than on a droid, but it is really a pretty subjective thing. The droids work fine, if that is what you need to use, I don't think it will make that much difference. I use mine in the field for pets, but I do all my tissues on my home station.

I have both, and I haven't really noticed any significant differences. I still crit fail every now and then (much less now, since they addressed this). I use my droid quite a bit, because it's nice when you're in the field and run low on room for DNA samples, I can go ahead and make some templates to make room. Or to make the occasional on demand pet while waiting for the shuttle.

I mean, has anyone noticed any significant differences in experimental results, critical fails, etc., when using a droid station versus using a permanent private station installed in your home.
