Apparently animals that have ranged attacks no longer give range attacks on the DNA. I filed a ticket and I'm still waiting on a response. I pulled all of my ranged attack pets that I have off my vendor to avoid people buying them and selling them for millions. Hopefully I'll know something soon

Also seems like the aggro rate has been increased when sampling DNA, died 5 times today, spent 3 hours plus, and got enough to make 5 nice pets

Been like that since pub 17 or 18 mate, they dissapeared when they took specials oujt of the game, they're revamping ch to be able to teach range/specials etc as a skill so have taken them out in readiness from what i have heard.

Actually ranged DNA was just screwed up recently. Patch 19 maybe.

Look on the Dev Tracker for the CH changes. I would expect this to be part of them and ranged attacks to be an ability that will be trainable by CHs if they learned it from one of the pets they tamed - along with state attacks and such.

Ranged is sticking on TC-Prime so don't give up hope. I'm going to try it, hopefully, on TC-Bria.
