heya gang.

I have pretty much just started playing around with cloning, and here is my delima.

I am cl12 0001 BE.. I have been trying to experiment with creatures mostly because
I think that it is pretty cool but that is beside the point.

What I have noticed, that if I DNA creatures I can make at Novice for the purpose
of making more of that creature, they suck. Not only do they suck, but if used by
as a pet, wild baby versions of that creature kill my clone crafted creatures.

So with this knowledge I decided to start dna sampling larger creatures to make what I can

like Murra's... low and average results, stats 10 times higher than durni dna, but the durni's
made from Murra DNA is not any different in stats than durni's made with durni dna that is
below average and poor samples. Am I doing something wrong, or is it just my low ability
that is affecting what I can make... I have 8 experiment points, but I am lucky if I can get
2%, 2%, 0% 0% 0% for initial generic DNA template stats.

Is there a guide that explains what each item is and how certain stats on the dna affect
the template? like prowess, do I put a DNA that is high in Dexterity in that spot?

If you know where something is that can tell me how to make better animals please
attach it. or if you know how to explain what I should be doing please let me know.

Basically you need to sample better and higher creatutres, which means you need to get more in your dna sampling line to do so, low level pets still need high level dna to make decent low level pets, for example you can put uller stoneclaw (elite mob, cl in the 20's and has 1000 in one of its stats) + 4 lvl 2/3 dna together and iit will come out as a low level creature (usually around cl9/10 with full experimentation)
