Thread: Goodbye Arthur
aahhh ![]()
I must say I completely understand the reasoning. He is truly an old school BE. He has seen this profession go from something of a complete kluge at launch, to a working viable fun profession, to the mish mash kluge job it is today.
The game really owes a lot to people like Arthur D.

and to people like us, who have suffered along with him, and met the challenges with a strong, and well-informed, community.
let's not forget NancyJ, Arthur's precedent. let's not forget the OLD BioE's of the first months, let alone the first year. ArthurDent isn't gone... but he decided that he had enough. I'm proud to have taken his place at the helm, but I wish the waters were more encouraging. as for the crew, then and now, I miss the castaways that the BioE changes have made, and I wish I could tell you all to come home.
I can't.
run and hide, or suffer and perservere. I'll be here, Arthur and others will be near and watching over us, and we'll all wait for the day we can wear our tags with pride. until then, let them try to scatter us... our skillsets ingame may change, but the BioE's of past, present, and (we can hope) the future, will always have the two years of history to remember... to cherish, to learn from, to instruct others... and we will, no matter how hard the times, no matter how wicked and pervasive the bugs, remain hopeful.
wait for the 'olly olly oxen free'.
/salute!
just hope he hasnt left just before the goods start to come in for BE

wow! that almost brought a tear to my eye
very eloquent way of putting it lamm.
Good post Lamm as well.
From what ArthurDent has told me he might still be reading the boards. I don't think he's gone out of the game entirely. How long this situation lasts is anyone's guess. We may yet see him post again under a different name.

(although I think he liked squalls better, he never did get into that argument)
The ultimate answer, to life, the universe and everything.
Is.

The question is, number of times you can be hit with a nerf bat before quitting?
