Thread: BE Kaduu vs Wild
Didn't see this when I posted my other post. Male Kaadu and Female Kaadu (current wild versions) will be non-CH only once the CH profession changes come down.
Motley Kaadu is the new non-CH wild Kaadu. CL 8, as mentioned and 450 HAM. That puts our non-CH Kaadu about 500 HAM ahead. And while a mount cannot attack while being ridden it can be attacked.
500 extra HAM may just be the difference between having your mount shot out from under you and having enough HAM to get away.
Personally I'm even trading my CL 10 Kaadu to Handlers. After all the fewer points they use on mount CL, the more points they have available toward combat CL.
Of course, as someone else mentioned, Kaadu is a novice creature, and there won't be a shortage, that's for sure, heheh.

Why ask why?
I could point out that our kaadu is nonCH, but then there's also the motley kaadu on TC. I guess the reason is so a nonCH can tame from the deed and let the critter grow before taking it to the trainer thereby not having to pay for the CH's dataspace. But it's only a kaadu, big deal. Any novice can and will be making them.
I was under the impression the wild Kaadus are cl 12 and ours are cl10.

Very simple. BE kaadu are mass producedmaking thema lot easier to come by. No one is going to buy a kaadu for its combat skills. I'm a BE/CH and I've never been asked for a kaadu other than for mount purposes.
A higher HAM kaadu mount would be worth more money of course but how many creature handlers are going to hunt and tame them in mass quantities?
If you're talking about for mount purposes, then this is the data I've collected...
When mass producing kaadu for the upcoming patch, I noticed that yes ours pale in comparison to the wild kaadu males. This bothered me, but then I was told by a guildmate that mounts HAM/attack won't matter since it will be equal to a horse on say DAoC. That means its only a mode of transportation, you take the dmg and you do the attacking, its only on the back of the creature. This makes larger HAM and attacks pointless since you can't use it anyway.
Granted I haven't been on TC to test it, but from the threads I've read this seems to be the case.
So if you're worried about selling your 1k HAM kaadu vs the CH selling his 2k kaadu don't worry, just explain that HAM makes no difference anyway since you can't take advantage of it.

(Please someone correct me though if you KNOW it makes a difference.)
get away? maybe if they decide to keep mounts from slowing down when you are attacked. it doesnt look like they will though... people might use it to kite creatures and that might be fun.
