Thread: Bleeding Tissue Test
Just a thought but there is the possibility that it protects only the parts of body which have the clothing on them much like amour does. Technically a mindshot is aimed at the head and unless you have a hat then I can't see it making much difference. This is of course a theory.
Another theory occoured... 0/+33 ... didn't the dev say you needed existing skills in order to benefit from the enhancement, melee defence is working as they said but then again most professions for combat have at least +1 melee defence so the bonus would stack. Could our designer have been as incompitant as to accidently forget to allow defences like bleeding to be enhanced without needed at least +1 to begin with?
Yes, I did the same test with a tailor, and I got similar results. Both of us had healthshot1 and used it on each other with and without a bleeding defense shirt. My shots were 42 each time and the timing seemed to be the same. We both reported the bug, and I posted it in a tissue bug thread that was started by the Correspondent. I'm sad to see that they have not done anything with it yet.

I had a Master Tailor create an outfit for me using my own tissues, concentrating on the Advanced BioSensors. Both my "Crafter Pants" and "Spec Ops Duster" were able to hold an RFP tissue, so I decided to go for the Coagulant Agents because I hate bleeding.
My CAs were hand-crafted and gave me a +16 and +17 to Combat Bleeding Defense respectively. When wearing both items, the skill does show in my skill list as "Combat Bleeding Defense +0/+33".
I did some duelling with a Master Pistoleer to test the effectiveness of the tissues. We were unsure if this skill mod was supposed to reduce your chance of gaining a bleed DOT, or if it reduced the damage or increased the time interval.
After several tests with clothing on and off, we found there was no difference in any of these factors. Every time he used a Healthshot, I started to bleed. The time frame was the same, and the amount of damage seemed to be the same. It varied with each test, probably on some random factor, but the variation did not seem to be influenced by the Bleeding Defense skill.
In short: Combat Bleeding Defense is not working.
