I am so close to Master I can taste it, and up until this point I have been not crafting a ton of pets... Honestly the DNA I wanted I could never sample until DNA 2, and at DNA 3 I finally get to sample most everything I normally would use to create. So now I am really playing with DNA, and have noticed a few things.
First, it seems like after 7 CL 10 is impossibble to hit. Unless you use durni dna. Am I the only one having this problem, or are others having the same issues creating a CL10 creature. What strategies do you use. I am very interested in finding a good recipie and making nonCH pets for my nonCH friends in game to use.
Second, and this one bugs me more, is I can't for the life of me figure out how to get ranged to stick? Anyone know the secret here? I am just at a complete loss.

Combine voritor dasher with noxious kamarith. Make an animal to resample from (I use gnorts). Use that resampled DNA and combine it with yard trash. You'll get a CL10 with ranged a strong poison.

It's not too difficult actually. Basically if you keep your kinetic resists down around 15% or less, keep the fortitude well under 100, and keep the power below 50, you'll have no trouble getting to CL 10.
Here's a good thread on that:
