How do you harvest it
Where you find it
What stats are you looking for
Is this a Necessity for BEs or does it enhance your items?
What is the average going rate for shellfish?

you need a shellfish harvesting tool
you can get the schematic in anchorhead, tatooine- in the trench there's a guy who will give you several missions.... deliver a bantha statue (tell him you can't do it then bank the statue or put it in your backpack if you want to keep it)
go back and he gives you the schematic....... you need an artisan with Eng III (i think) to make it for you
go stand it water, if you're swimming it won't work, stand on the shoreline...... i use a macro that hits my shellfish harvester on my toolbar that cycles every 6 seconds
it uses action and mind to harvest, you will find either mullosk or crustacean meat or nothing at all
these resources DON'T stack by themselves... you need to do it manually, so if you don't, your inventory will fill up and you won't get anything
crustacean, from what i've been told and can't confirm, was used in a chef food that is no longer available...... which makes crustacean meat obsolete as there's much better ways to get meat /shrug
mullosk is used in the enhanced cover tissue, in 10unit increments
the important stats are flavor/overall quality/potential energy equally(33%/33%/33%)
but that's it....... hope this helps

Now when you use the tool, do you get one or the other, or does it go back and forth?
Can you go to other planets to find better stats at the same time?
What is the going rate per mollask unit?
Is there a strong demand for such an item?

Like other resources, the quality changes from week to week on different planets. On my server, Valcyn, I think there is a really good mollusk meat appearing on Naboo, but that will change. The price I imagine would be similar to any meat that only appears on weaker creatures, since they are the least productive and most boring to harvest.

you get one or the other or nothing at all....
i've noticed mullosk and crustacean meat is usually better than most harvestable meat from creatures, however it is insanely boring to harvest unless you are one of those people that like to do things while AFK
as i don't really condone such things, i won't give you any tips on that
if you have no scout, it's a good way to get meat to sell.... however it takes forever to get anything, but lately i have been fishing and using my shellfish harvester at the same time
it's kind of relaxing, and i'm wondering ifthe fish i've caught areprize-worthy compared to what most people catch hehe

Depends on quality of OQ/PE/FL. I should go for more than meat of the same quality because it is way sloewer to get.
Also if you get good quality crustacean sell it to - we can use it anywhere it calls for "Creature Food" (which is several of our tissues).
