I don't have a vendor and it definately hurts BE pet sales. I do okay with BE chef tissue sales now that I've got a few people who are steady customers for big runs.

First of all, I've scanned the first couple pages of posts and didn't see these questions asked or answered, so I hope I'm not repeating a too-often asked question.

Anyhow, first question is, what's a better template? BE/Chef, BE/Tailor or BE/Ranger? Right now, I'm a BE/Pistoleer that will soon be moving into a more focused frame of mind. I was just hoping to hear from folks that have tried these three combos to get the pros and cons from folks that have lived it.

Second question is, what's the 'weakest' skin you can squeeze a CL70 into? I've been a MBE for a while now, but I've been focused on Tissues and not on Cloning. Before I go to all the trouble of sampling Mutant Rancors (is it true that their CL shifted up to CL75?) only to waste the DNA by trying to shove it into something that won't work, I wanted to ask the Cloners in the community about their experiences. I've been asked to make a CL70 Bearded Jax or a CL70 Durni (I've got some peculiar customers) and wanted to know if it was possible.

Any skin can be made to be CL 70 - skin does not affect stats or CL in anyway other than minimum CL.

None of those combination are 'better' than any other, its just a matter of play styles, I'm a tailor and it works fine though when I'm making pets I often wish I was a ranger, if only for the tracking

I'm a MCH/MBE with some novice TK and having a blast. But if you want to use what the BE produces I'd recommend picking up whatever uses the line you want to focus on (CH for pets or chef/tailor for tissues).

I haven't done any test (CL51 is the highest I've gotten but I usually go for specific specials or resists) but I've never seen an upper limit to CL for a skin, only lower. I did once make a kimo with yard trash. It was CL40 with 400 HAM.

I played with novice Ranger for awhile before picking BE up the 2nd time and tracking wasn't worth the points it took to get it for me. Others have had more success though, from what I've read.

I knew about the min CL limit (a Kimo with 400 HAM? :blech

, but wasn't sure about the max. Thanks for that bit of info.

I know that everybody's play style differs, but I was hoping to hear more pros/cons. Do Tailors have more business these days than do Chefs? It seems that a Chef would be able to be more useful to one's self, if for no other reason than the constant availability of foods (whose effects need to be constantly renewed as opposed to BE clothes which last quite a long time). Then again, maybe Chefs have a harder time finding the resources they need for the food they produce. Thanks for the advice on the Ranger, too. The reason I was considering Ranger was for the Conceal/Camo skills and for the Tracking/Harvesting skills (just those two columns). If I were to go this route, I'd obviously still be the supporting BE (as opposed to making tissues for myself to put into my own product), but is there a noticable difference in the amount you're able to harvest, or the effects of /conceal?

BE/Chef is the hot combo right now, and BE/Tailor would also be good.All of those combos will eat up most of your skill points, so you would not have much left for any combat skills. Ranger, to be honest, is pretty lame right now. Area track would be about all that would do you any good. The bonus to harvesting doesn't help if you have no combat skills. You might want to consider BE/CH also, as you could make your own pets and pet stims. Think about squeezing out enough skill points to have your own vendor, too, unless you have someone who can run one for you.

I run BE/CH and there is enough skill point to master scout BE CH and have a vendor.

Im pretty sure there is no upper limits on pets just minimal ones.

All depends on what you want to craft as a BE. If Tissues then either Chef or Tailor. If Creatures, then CH. If Pet Stims then Doctor.
