Hey guys im one of you beloved Holo Hunters enjoying the Bio Engineer profession for a while (I actually do like Bio Eng too). I am currently at 4,0,2,0 and ive run out of my meat supply.

Now I'm also TKM and do get some meat during sampling failures (bols and Pikets) but this is not enough of a supply to support my crafting. Does anyone have any suppliers of large quantities of meat?

Also any links to posts regarding good critters for meat hunting would be appreciated.

Thanks

um, contact your friendly neighborhood ranger on your server, you probably should be asking this in your server forum rather than the BE forum.

As a general statement, larger is better when it comes to sheer quantities of meat. Level also helps, of course. But, at least in this instance, size does matter

What I mean by this is that if you look at, say, 2 CL 15 creatures such as a Kahmurra versus a Bull Ronto. The ronto will yeild a bit more meat per kill than will the Kahmurra due to size.

But.. You've hit the same point that I and a lot of other BE's have. I bought my meat from the bazaar, from rangers, from ppl shouting, etc. Anything would do. At least back then 5-6 c/u was considered high price, versus now when it commonly sells for 10+c/u even for grind-quality stuff.

good luck in your hunt. I'd check your server to see if any rangers are looking to make a bit of cash and pharm you some, although sometimes that can be difficult as they seem to be more inclined to pharm the HQ stuff ppl pay more for rather than pharm grind-quality for less cred.

Thanks,

I am also pursuing this on my Galaxy (Bria) board too. It inevitably was hijacked buy people wanting to give me 'the meat' lol, i tried to let i pass and was promptly told i was using the wrong boards....I think now they are bashing someone on their spelling abilities..../em frustrated.

The price of meat is shocking, Bazaar sales are way out of reason. I went krayt hunting with a couple friends and got 1k meat from 2 krayts. But that meat is OQ 957 and id hate to use it on Micro supplements or a Kaduu.

I think I will goto dath and follow a group around for meat.

Go to Lok and kill Gurks and Snorbals. They spawn near each other in great numbers and both give 50+ herbivore meat per kill. As a TKM, you can take them out fairly easily. A night in Lok will give you easily 20k meat.

Also, what I did, when I was a carbineer and couldn't kill anything on my own, was to do a bazaar galaxy wide search for meat and buy anything under 3cpu. Eventually you'll get around to those cities and be able to pick it up. If you keep searching, there's always somebody selling 1000 units for 3000 credits.

Once more thing, don't know about Bria, but on Tarquinas, Naboo is the shoppers paradise. Go there to buy your stuff. All other planets are very expensive compared to Naboo.

Have fun,

If you just want to get grind meat take womp rat missions on Tat. Kill every rat looking critter you come across. If you include another scout in the hunt you will double your take and make a little pocketmoney while you're at it. They are easy and you're not in any real danger of getting killed. Also, you can kill them relatively quick.

I bought most of the meat I used from tha bazaar. I am also on Bria. The best times I found to hit the bazaar was around 8 or 9am EST. I usually was able to pick up meat as cheap as 1.5 per unit in Theed. Early morning in large cities seems to be the best times to get the good deals. Otherwise, its 10+ per unit. Hermit spiders are also a good source of meat. They spawn fast and in large numbers.

Wild lairs, that's the key (assuming you can kill the things fast enough, but as TKM you should have no trouble). Take Dant for example. Grab a couple of missions killing pickets or bols. Go out, kill the pickets of bols. But ALWAYS be on the lookout for lairs that have generic names like "a dead log" or "a dirt mound." Those lairs will have way more creatures in them. Whenever you see one, stop and kill it. But make sure to milk it - don't just destroy the lair, get your two complete spawns out of it. A spawn isn't over until you can sit for a full minute and no more creatures appear.

And besides, it's more fun than grinding BE.
