Thread: Price for Pet Stimpaks

I really haven't got a clue what to charge for Pet Stimpaks. I placed a few Pet B (+760 heal, 26 charges)packs on the Bazaar for 3k and they sold in about 10 minutes. Which would make me believe it's too cheap. I also have some +1060 Pet C packs which I like to really use for myself, but a few people have asked for them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I never see a reason to price gouge. I just try to price in a way that is fair to both the customer and to myself. So I make some money but am not trying to squeeze every last credit out of people or anything.

Usually my Petstim B are around 750-850 heal, 27-32 charges and I sell them for 1.8-2.1k/each depending on how many in a crate.

My Petstim C are around 1000-1200 heal and 30-35 charges and I sell them at 3k/stim but at a flat rate no matter how many are in the crate.

I'm sure the situation is different on every server.

I price per heal.

Heal X Charge X .11 for B-stims.
Heal X Charge X .12 for C-stims.

The better the stim, the more profit i make, and the more valuable it is to the customer. I don't have any problems selling out, and crates are usually the first to go.

I price in a similar manner for pets but the formula is a lot more complex.

The only thing i flat rate on , are the vitality packs. A's for 1k, B's for 2k, etc.

This is nearly the same formular I use for my pet stims as well as regular stims on Intrepid galaxy. I seem to have about the average price of most other crafters there so I would say it is a good system. The only difference being I start with a .1 multiplier for B's and work up from there.

B's Heal x Charges x .1

C's Heal x Charges x .11

D's Heal x Charges x .12

I'll add my two cents just because I'm also on Wanderhome

On the bazaar, especially in Coronet, Stims and Vit packs can go for 3k, easily. Your market there is people that don't know where to get crates, or are simply too busy to go get them. Floki is easily the Pet Stim Daddy on Wanderhome, since he's also a Master Doctor. It's nearly impossible to compete with the quality of his stims.

Anyhoo, the crate customer is a bit pickier. I sell crates of stim Bs similar to the quality you're getting for 1.5k per stim in a crate, and stim Cs for 3k per stim in a crate. These sell really quickly, and I haven't had too many people complaining about high prices. I work with another BE who makes the Vits, so I'm not sure how much those go for.

I probably could sell for more, but my stims are nowhere near the quality of Floki's, so I feel that mine should always stay cheaper.

For B's = Heal * Charge * .1 + 500

For C's = Heal * Charge * .1 + 1000

My average stims C's are 28-30 charges with 950-1000 heal or 22-25 charges with 1000-1080 heal. I charge 4.5k-5k easily and sell every single stim I ever make. I'm thinking of raising the prices soon. I have 4 factories running full time to make stims and components. I always sell out with in a day. Yesterday I sold 350 stims and 4.5k a piece. I am so sucessful for two reasons. I am almost always stocked. And I run my own shop that also sells people Stim B's, pet vit C's, enhance packs, tissues and creatures. The extra traffic for different items brings more poeple in.

Just curious, but why do we have the urge to discount price per unit when the stims are in bulk crates? People always ask for the bulk discount. To me, crates are a luxury item to have and people should be willing to pay a premium for a large quantity crate.

I know it doesn't seem to work out that way, but what do you guys think?

I charge 4k per stim C reguardless of strength - i always strive for the best Adv. Components and Dath insect meat - but it always cost me the same $ and time to search out that meat. And i cannot help what the meat quality is from shift to shift.

I think the idea behind Bulk discount is that you can do an almost 1k run in a factory without the risk of crit failing or even getting low experimentation results.
Basically the best stim you can make with the avaiable resources is what you produce without any risk involved.

My stim Bs currently are at 30/921 (2/3 advanced) and I sell crates of 50 at 85k, even when I could easily get 2.5k per stim on any Advanced Planets Bazaar (Gorath is teeming with BEs so competition is big). It is a marketing thing... you reward customers that buy large amounts, because when they have used up your crate, they will be most probably back for another... keeps the biz running

I suppose its up to you guys... but I sell my:

Stim A's 31use/643heal for 3k each with slight discout for crates

Stim C's 34use/1056heal for 6k each with discount for crates

This takes into account that I buy crates of Master Doctor components for about 10k for 25.... But I still sell these out almost before I can get them on the vendors.

For all you BE's trying to sell cheap, you're just cutting your own throats, the market is there for you to use... i personally got tired of making really good quality stims then having to sell them cheap so now I have fair market prices and 2 vendors in good locations and playing around with tailoring skills to go with the tissues now.

But hey if you want to scrimp your profits I am not going to stop you.

All the above formulas will work. It depends on what your server demand is. Are there alot of BE selling stims to the public? Or are the MBE on your server just helping their PA out. Supply and demand.

I just started selling stims in my own vendor and I will sell out in a day. It is insane. People want the stims, and will pay just about whatever you put up there. I have seen, on another BE vendor someone selling stims abot the same as mine for alomost twice the money. And they were selling. I have my formula and stick to it. I just don't see spending 7K on a stim C with average power. I sell my stim C anywhere from 3K to 4.5K. It all depends on the results of experimentation. Alot depends on word of mouth also.

If you are in a good city with good stims and prices, you will have no problem selling, no matter what you charge. Get a shop, not a tent, in a nice spot, decorate it up, throw in the vendors and post on your server forum. People will check you out and will buy from you. You can also spam, only if you want, in a starport area for 10 minutes or so. People will come check out your shop and word will spread.

Plus if you can, sel tissues and stims. From what I have seen, not too many BE will make tissues. Try selling tissues at same time, and throw in a sale once in a while. Maybe grand opening sale to get people in your shop.

just ideas to help out.

I never give bulk discounts. If someone wants one, I say no. They usually buy anyways or someone else buys it within the day.
