Thread: DNA From what to make what?
I am really consufed on this whole DNA thing. I am sampling 2 working on 3. When I collect DNA it tells me low quality, high quality, average etc.
Does not seem to matter what I Sample, The quality is all over.. Weather Gorg, Gran Wrix, or Dewback.
Now I make a creature from this DNA and it seems to change with the Quality of the DNA for sure. But does it matter from what?
Example;
Make a Kadu. Create 5 Kaduu samples by using gnort, and Pickett, DNA sample. Does the Kaduu DNA sub component matter?
Where can you get these super High Quality samples.?
Sorry to be a pest, ButI find the easiest answer is sometimes another person telling you your shoe is untied.
Any dna for any clone. It doesn't have to contain any kaady dna for making a kaadu infact it'll weaken the kaadu by doing that in some cases. The quality of the dna is only part of the equasion, the CL rating of the animal the dna comes from is where the major difference is made.
A simple analogy I use is that if you stick bantha dna into a Rancor then you get a crappy rancor, however if you put rancor dna into a bantha then you get a **edit** good bantha.
So the way I see it is:
The two main factors are1.)CL of the donor creature and 2.) DNA Quality
Low Quality Rancor DNA will still make a very strong gnort, but even Very High Gnort DNa will make a weak Rancor.
This is how I understand it presently...
DNA Stat pairs DNA Template SlotAffectedAttribute(s)
Hardiness + Fortitude = Physique= Health
Dexterity + Endurance = Prowess= Action
Intelliect + Cleverness=Mental= Mind
Dependability + Courage =Psycological=To Hit??
Fierceness + Power=Aggression=Damage+Speed?
So just going by CL, gnort DNA in one slot would produce an overall less increase than Rancor DNA since Rancor DNA is by nature much stronger. Also matching the DNA sample with the highest stats for the right slot would produce a better creature.
So to make the most of your DNA you would need to sample from the highest CL creature you can, Match up the highest stat pair of each sample with the slot you want it in, and experiment on the template and the final creature itself?
One thing that stumps me is what modifies the other stats like Strength, Constitution, Quickness, Stamina, etc. they show up on the final creature but in every one I've tried so far they've always been very low compared to the main HAMs
Does this look correct? I'm still a Novice, trying to get a good understanding of this...
Feel free to correct me.

The more I think about it, I think the psycological stat really never made it into the game and was meant to act along the lines of the personality chip in droids. A low psycology and the creature would either refuse to enter combat or run at the first sign of damage. Andhigh psycology would make it stand and fight until it dies.
This makes a lot of sense if compared to droids and how the different personality chips respond to combat. If I tell my R5 to attack, it runs outside of my radar range. But I have yet to see a probot with an attack personality attempt to run from a fight.
