Thread: A very very simple question, please answer me :)
I used to be a BE on Starsider like 6 month ago. I waited waited waited for the clone colouring thing when it was announced, but as it was not coming I finally dropped the profession as it was gimped.
Now, with another character of mine on Radiant I'm taking the profession again, now it's been nicely revamped. And no I've never read any Holos, and no I do not intend to take the profession to make uber low CL pets. It's just that I like this profession.
BUT, here's my question :
Now that those uber pets can't be called any more, is it still possible to craft them ?
Because if it is so, then how do you do to NOT create them ?
I'm taking this profession to have fun (again) because I like crafting, but I do not wish to be skrewed because the fix has been dealt with in the end of things and not at the source...

I completely agree.
they try to stop the fire, but don't take away the lighter.
they should have fixed the dna, not our customers, who blame it on us,
it's thereby verry logical that we blame the devs.
I am not 100% sure on this so if I am mistaken, please correct me. However, my understanding is with the patch, the bugged dna was fixed. Therefore, assuming that there are no additional bugs with dna, it shouldn't be possible to create any of these uber non-ch pets. One problem was sampling from a clone. It would give a 0 for courage and over 1K for dependability. I sampled a clone yesterday to see what the sample from it would look like and the stat for the courage and dependability were fixed. Both had numbers and both were under 1K.
However, that being said, if you have any doubts about a pet, or anything seems "broken" about it or "not right" I would post to the forum and if it turns out to be a bug then /bug it.
So if I understand you well, it ***seems*** that now they both shut the fire AND the sparkle that created it ?
So I'm taking the profession again when it's nice to and has no "too big" problems ?

Thing is I really don't need to make money selling tons of pets, or just a few expensive ones, I just want to have fun playing this profession the way I want to and have no complaint from future customers.
You can still make them, but not quite as good as before. As far as how not to make them this is how. Doo NOT do the following:
on the last experiment option use your experiment points to raise that stat asa high as possible. The higher the number you can creat here, the lower the pet level.
Oh, BE isn't broken. It is very usable and a good profession so don't be afraid of it. The only things that went wrond with the fix are mainly the pets that had extremely high HAM levels and low cl. If you make things legit, you will be very happy here.
Hope this helps.

So you are saying it is still possable to make bugged pets? If not then why avoid makeing as low a CL as you have experiment points for?. Why even have experiment points if not to experiment?
-Indene- (Who has deduced from much reading that she will be angry at the DEVs not the BE's cause even as a MCH she doesn't *really* know what is a good uber pet as promised by the DEVs and what is a *BAD* uber pet.
Any news about this issue ?
Did someone here had the problem of creating a clone after the *fix* and that proved to be bugged ?
Or does it seem that now this problem will not arise anymore ?
Nope , I tried it with the min/max dna I could find.
BTW no DNA was bugged folks, the BE cloning system was bugged. As usual they released a buggy untested system on us with zero documentation, then call us exploiters when we simply use it exactly as it wasmade.
You don't need to worry about illegal pets though, from whay I read they plan on making a system tat instead of not calling the pet, will nerf whatever stat is illegal to legal levels.
People should get fired over screwups like this.
