I need help all, how do you get a DNA templete with light armor. I sampled 5 DNA from a craggy something on Danth, I went to combind it and the final templete had 0 armor. What am i doing wrong, or do I need to be a higher lvl in BE to get armor on templetes..Currently im 2/0/3/0

Oh forgot to tell you I did it in front of a personal crafting station too. Any help would be greatfull

You need to experiment on physique until fortitute >= 500.

lots of good info on experimentation plus formulae for calculating whether you can reach your desired goals given the DNA samples you are using.

Previously, we all knew that fortitude over 500 = armor on your pet.

How do you keep armor when you are mixing DNA? Look at your DNA sample. Pick the samples that you want to put in Physique, Prowess, Mental, and Aggression. Add up the fortitude scores and divide them by 4. This will tell you the amount of fortitude that you will have on your template after you spend the maximum amount of experimentation points in physique.

Fortitude in the template: Physique: Arachne Queen- 667 Prowess: Arachne Widow- 562 Mental: Arachne Widow- 569 Psychology: Blushing Jax- 158 <---does not count against armor Aggression: Bark Mite Burrower- 517

667 + 562 + 569 + 517= 578.75

Fortitude after using max exp points in physique- 578

Oh !

One more question then, is it just a high fortitude on the end that will trigger armor, or does the original creature has to have armor in the first place ?

The original DNA does not have to have armor, as long as it is mixed with some samples that do have it in those four slots----> and the total fortitude of those four samples is greater than 500.

If you lose the armor...happens sometimes when you get very close to 500, resample the clone to find out how close you were (usually it's like 496 fortitude). Add in a sample that pushes the fortitude back up (I usually add this to physique to bump up the clone's health too), and you'll get your armor back into your clone.

Some high fortitude creatures like the mutant rancor can add armor to a clone when mixed with low fortitude samples.
