hello,

since I have mastered the fine art of Bio Engineering I am getting tells and mails asking me prices.

With the tissues I am fine 'cause we have a master tailor in our guild and we are making nice profit together. I'd like to ask what you are charging for petstims and your pets.

I checked the list at swgbioengineer.com and to be honest the prices seem far to high to me. Over 2k for a petstim with 750 heal? 50k for a rancor with 10k HAM? 30k for a Kaadu?

Honest people, I want to make good money but I do not want to rip off other players. So if anyone of you could give me an idea about reasonable prices I'd be thankful.

regards

you basically have to take a look at what these things are going for on your server.

ex: pet stim B's at 500-700 heal were selling for 3k on the bazaar, so i, not wanting to undercut anyone, started selling my 870 stim B's for 3k.

ex 2: CH on my server sell wild rancor for 25k-70k so i sell my mediocre ones (still better than wild) for 35k and my excellent ones (12.5k+ HAM) for 40k because of the time it takes to hunt down the creatures with good enough DNA and sample enough to get good pairs.

dont use my numbers as reference because they reflect the economy of my specific server, but check into what related items are going for and gauge your prices based on that. also note that i could charge much more and still sell out all of my products, or i could sell significantly less and be swamped with business.

make a few sales at test prices about 5% higher than what you think they should sell for and gauge the reaction. you should come up with your ideal price fairly easily.

Personly i think your just soft when you say your pets are to expensive, look at what you need to make one in the first place.

Meat, Flora & DNA

meat & flora are not easy to gather up in large amounts so qulity of Pets will always change, the only way to keep them avrage is to buy meat and flroa from resorce venders or players who sell resorces.

Mounts atm are a BIG issue to BE we have been waiting for a reason to Produce pets to sell and here we have it. I started to train for BE only cos i wanted to build up a Ranch and sell pets on, turns out most BEs are just to soft with prices and seem to make it harder to make money cos theres always one N00b who will sell a pet for 1,000c. I know theres such thing as free enterprise but don't drive down prices before we start to make money, i personly hate to make pet stims all day so i can make money.

Do us all a favor and think about your prices, 3k is like to low for me to sell any of the BE pets, if a CH wants a pet from me they pay a min of 5k personly and for mounts i guess 28k is my starting price for SINGLE mounts but i may go as cheap as 10k each for bulk orders,

please don't be soft on the CH, there are way to many CHs that mark up prices for a BE not to. They need us not the outher way around so please unite on this.

Actually I think pet prices are too low...it takes at least 30 mins - 1 hour to make a good pet, if u count the time it takes to gather decent dna samples, collect good organic, plant components, asking the customer what they would like to customise, and then experimenting on it. Not to mention the fact that few people want a BE pet given our limited range.

Other crafters can just throw stuff into a factory and sell them by bulk, while we do each one manually. I think the high price of pet stims helps even it out. And for Stims, anyway, people still seem to buy them off the bazaar at 2-3k for stim Bs, so it looks fairly priced to me.

I dont think all the zillionaire crafters should be just limited to armor and weapon smiths Lets have some BEs in the Fortune 500 hahah
