Thread: How much will A Vitality Pack Raise my Pets Vitality

A general rule to follow is the pet will lost at least 1 vita for every 10 healed, and sometimes 2. Vita is shown at (current vita)/(max vita). A pet's max HAM is based on the max vita. As an example, 6500 max HAM for a grand wrix at 100 max vita. The pet will not begin to lose its max HAM until it's at 75% of the max vita or 75/100. At that point, use a vita pack. To use one sooner simply wastes the potential max HAM of the pet and its usefulness to the owner.

So say you have a pet at 74/100 vita, and you get a pack that heals for a bit more than the amount lost and use it on the pet. Your pet's new vita will be 96/96if you are lucky, most likely it willbearound 95/95. The pet's new max HAM will be 95% of what it was at 100/100 or even at 76/100. So the grand wrix in my previous example will have 6175 HAM instead of 6500.

Do not use vita packs to heal wounds. While this works, it is a needless waste of HAM and vita since there will ALWAYS be max vita loss as a result of using the packs. Wounds are healed by feeding your pet food (to heal health and action wounds), and by playing with your pet by having it perform tricks (for mind wounds).

Something is wacky with vitality packs. I had a friend whose cowardly gurreck got caught in a death loop and wound up at 40/100. He used a 23 strength vit pack A on it and it went straight to 88/88. Another person I spoke with last night had a CG at 26/100. I made him an intentionally crappy vit pack A, 12 point healer, and it took the CG to 83/83, I think it was. I'm confused as hell now on how these things are supposed to work, and I'm the one that folks look to for answers! I thought it was going to fix the number of vitality points by the number that the vit pack is rated for, and maybe reduce the overall vitality by one or two.

So, am I totally whacked on how they're supposed to work? Is there something weird with the resources I'm using, the fact that they're Vitality Pack A's, or the fact that they're being used on Cowardly Gurrecks? Or is it because the CGs are so damaged when they're being used? I've not gotten any feedback from anyone else who's used what I've made, so my data is incomplete. But I'm still concerned and puzzled.

As far on how much Vit Packs heal.. always their Strength in Vitality points

I haven't found this to be true. I had a customer use a 70 str vit c on a pet with 2/100 vit. It went to 91/91 after using it. After reading the previous post, either something is wrong with them or they just don't work the way we thought they did.

Hello,

I searched for this topic but could not find the answer, so I pose it to the group.

I have a pet with Vitality 88/100 and have just purchased the best vitality pack I could find on a vendor. This is a vitality B with 62 strength. My question is how high this will raise my pets' vitality. Is it reasonable to expect it will raise it to 99/99?

Thanks in Advance,

ballpark guess - 97/97-99/99 (if i had to bet i would guess 98, maybe 99)

there have been several tests documented on these forums, but none of us have been able to come up with the exact formula for it. it is somewhat random, but within a certain range.

thats all i can really tell you - sorry if its not enough. i think we would all like to know exactly what the formula is

As far as my experience shows, you lose 2 points of max vitality if the you heal more then 10 points. So healing a 88 would probably take it to 98/98. (Probably more if you healed more then 20)

As far on how much Vit Packs heal.. always their Strength in Vitality points, and the amount of max vitality the pet looses depends on how much you heal, so the type and strength of the Stim itself only plays a very secondary role here.

Someone correct me if I am wrong here please.
