Hello I just became a novice bio engineer and was wondering how you sample dna? I know this question is a noob question. I just need to know if you just select the creature and it pops up in the radial menu or if you have to craft an item in order to extract dna?

make 2 macros:

/follow (you must be within 15 metres of the mob)

/sampledna

"/sampledna" typed in your text bar whilst you are standing close to a creature and have it highlighted does it.

You should really create a macro and give it an icon, place this icon in your main tool bar (mine is shift f6 - shift for the 2nd row of the toolbar), then just highlight the creature and hit shift + f6 and voila your sampling

hope this helps

Welcome to the profession.
You will have to make a macro (Crtl + A), and select the macro tap. Then create a macro that performs the command "/sampleDNA" (with out the " "). If you need clarification then just ask .

Thankyou for all the replies. That was probably the fastest responce to a question I have ever recieved. The macro's i have figured out already for crafting. I can have eight crafting stations going at once. That works awsome. So this is a command item not radial. OK soounds good I will give it a shot tonight. Thankyou again for all the help!

One thing you may want to try is getting some muron gold from the bazaar, You can sample like crap with this stuff. The downer only lasts a very short time compared to the + it gives ya.

I have a spin off questions regarding this.

1) When you sample mobs in the wild they *may* get mad and attack you right?

2) Can you sample pets of like a CH friend or your own? And if so, from the sounds of it, this will damage / lower the HAM?

Thanks.

Yes, there is a chance of being attacked while sampling. No, you can't sample a tamed pet, though you can sample from a deed. Remember that while sampling from a deed there is a good chance that it will go poof. You may get two or three samples if you're lucky.
