Thread: I need some assistance por favor
yea, it just depends on the tailor, but better to proceed with a little caution. If you want to be prepared, you can always make up a crate of scent neutralization ahead of time. Also, if you want to find a tailor that is likely to be "active" and "responsive" give a look to the tailor forum. They have a list of tailors by galaxy just like we bio engineers do.

Good luck

Thanks for your reply Arthur! I understand all about not wanting to be treated like a machine, i was just thinking that having some of the stuff ready would be helpful, i mean anything i could do to make the process easier. After all i'll be approaching someone with little to no knowledge of what it is i want anyway. It's pretty obvious to me so far in my gamelife that people are just generally too busy to help me soi always tread lightly when interacting with people because i don't wanna inadvertantly offend someone...... which is what it looks like i was about to do to some poor tailor lol.

My problem is this: I cannot get anywhere near a Mutant Rancor. I'm detected well before i get within 15m. And yeah, i'm walking and even crawling to them...lol. I have read the stickies, i know how to sample.
You basically need to get your mask scent up as high as possible, that's the bottom line. You need to get exploration 4 in scout, go to a chef and get some jawa beer, and then go to a tailor and get masked scent clothing totalling +25 in masked scent. After you do all this however, you should realize that your masked scent is still going to break 9 times out of 10. You are trying to sample the most difficult, highest level creature in the game that we can sample so it's gonna be a challenge no matter what.
How did you guys do it? How can i go about acquiring everything i need before approaching a Tailor thus making it as easy as possible? ugh...please help..i'm clueless...
Thanks in advance for reading this, even more so for posting something helpful!

Ok, you need to be a little cuatious here. It depends on the tailor, but a lot of crafters dont like being treated as a "crafting machine" (i.e. insert materials, pay maintenence, pull lever, out comes product). So I'd just approach a tailor and ask them what they can do for you, and mention that your are a bio engineer. It might be that you can barter, or better yet come to a longer term relationship. I personally cringe when somebody brings a bunch of stuff to me and says "here, craft such and such using this". That includes making schematics, bringing me dna samples, bringing me a "recipe" to use, or whatnot. The implication is that I don't know what the hell I'm doing or am incapable of producing said product on my own and that gets us off to a rocky start right away.
P.S. the tissue needed is called scent neutralization, and it's best if you make them in crates. That gives the tailor much more options in how he/she uses them.
