A BE is trying to sell me a level 10 pet that has 10K/5K/3K HAM stats and 120 dmg with 59 kinetic resistance. Can a non-CH really use this? or as soon as it is trained stats will be lowered? He is asking 500K for it, before I spend that sum of money I wanted to know if I am being scammed. Any advice appreciated.
thanks

Technically useable, ethically questionable, nerfable most definetly.

The devs have said this type of pet is unintended and the result of a problem with the crafting system and validity check.
These will be nerfed.

personally i would not spend anywhere near that amount of money for a cl10 pet for that, and frankly him asking for that much is appauling. in saying that, i dont know what recipe he has used. he has spent many hours doing multi-generalisation on it then perhaps it is worthy of a price tag but i know a recipe that gives a similar cl11 result. one problem you might encounter is that when you try to tame it, it will ask you to either modify the cl or the stats which would certainly not be worthy of the price tag.

Its very unlikely that it will be unusable on taming and I have to give you credit for having common sense enough to know that its probably too good to be true and checking here first.
The simple matter of the facts is that it is too good to be true, it should exist, but it does. It will be fixed at some indeterminate point in the future, but as far as I can tell this fix isnt top priority for the devs right now.
What you have to consider is how much is 500k really? Will having this pet earn its worth before it gets fixed?
And how do you feel about using something that you know is bugged and more powerful than is intended?
Only you can make the choice. But yes the pet is real and probably valid.

thanks much for all the replies. If this was not intended then I refuse to use it.
It is hard sometimes to decide what really is intended what not, but I guess good rule of the thumb is to double check when it looks too good to be true

Unfortunately the only way we can know if the pets we make are 'bugged' is to ask the devs specifically for every combination that we discover. Personally I feel that a 4/3/2 with 15 Kinetic and very low damage is acceptable but the devs have made no comment on this so its just personal opinion.
