Since there is nothing of interest on here today, I thought I would share my idea with the few of us that are on today. Mind you I don't expect this now, but perhaps some where long down the road.
My Suggestion is for a Bio-Engeneer Labratory. It would be about half the size of a small house, but still take up two lots. It would have a Bacta tank in it (of coarse) and a glass work area with mechanical arms in it. (picture the data tape area from the movie Eraser with Gov. of Cal.) Anyway, it would have a console to operate the arms, and this area would act as both our crafting tool and crafting station all in one. We would be able to load in about 500 or so DNA samples in to the machine, 50 resources, and have additional storage for 200-1000 more items(anticipating they get over their storage limit issues).
You would get a similar crafting screen to that of our current one, but it would differ. As you craft your DNA selections would be almost like shopping on the bazar, except you would be able to see creature, quality, and CL to sort by. (or whatever we as a community come up with) You pick out your samples, insert them, while doing so the CL changes appropriately, and then of coarse does the same through the experimentation process.
Then it makes your template, again while selecting skins the CL changes to each pets minimum is high than your DNA's current level. Then it moves directly to the skin selection, where you select your resources and build your pet. You see it being formed with the arms and lasers and stuff, and then **Ding** it is done. It does not go directly into your inventory, you get a choice of either DEED or SALE. Deed goes into the inventory, SALE prompts for a sale price, and then goes directly onto an outdoor vendor on the outside wall of the structure.
I would also like to see the Schematic option here too, I know everything has to be the same, how about if the schematic stored all the result info, and as long as you use the same type of DNA, it would be calculated the same, with the same results as the first, with slight variations due to the variant DNA, but oveall very similar... i.e. same Creatures & Quality= Similar pet. The Lab console would also take these schematics for pets only, and of coarse it would pull the samples from your collection as needed. Additives and tissue would still need to be run in a factory structure. Another option I would like to see is if you leave a creature in the bin, you could choose resample, and it would sample the creature into oblivian, and store the samples in it's catalog the machine should not have our CL75 limit.
This means some of us can throw our furniture in the mix, for some very interesting results.
Ideally I would like it if you could add this as an addition to a medium or large house, and if you turn the door toward your existing house, it would ajoin as you place it, and then entry would be from your main house.
This would of coarse only be placeable by a MBE.
Anyway let me know what you think, again this is very future, don't think right now or even next year, this is long term wish list.
I think too this would solve almost all our issues. The only other thing i can think of is have it test pet validity, and if you could drag creatures from your data pad to the machine to be re-deeded.

Sounds like what some of the guys I support at Merck do.
No, really, very well thought out and very interesting. Give the architects some new content as well.

Thank you for your kind words. (I know some of you are thinking I am just responding to him so that it will bring my lame idea back to the top, and not fall off the boards like it had an anchor strapped to it... there may be something to that you'll never know for sure though.)

Well, JTL, the biggest thing coming, has nothing Jedi flavored at all about it.
So there! ![]()

Perhaps, but wouldn't Jedi pilots have special Force skills that are pilot related? Or will they be able to travel without attracting unwanted attention more easily?
Just asking.

Unclear. Hopefully not. Even if they do, the bulk of the performance in the game will be player skill related, not skill boxes of the characters. Skill boxes in the pilot trees will give you extra abilties (such as re-routing power from engines to weapons on the fly, for instance) but not enough to make really lousy pilots (who have earned the boxes by doing the missions)stomp all over good pilots (who are newer to the game and don't have as many boxes).

Screw the Jedi.
Back on topic.
I like everything about the concept except the "half the size of a house" part. I say Master BEs get a structure cert for a building modded after the player Hospitals.

That would be fine too, I just have always been partial to adding on to our houses, I thought additions would be cool, but a seperate structure is fine too, but I don't want to loose too many lots.
