I've been specializing in chef and tailor tissues for most of my BE career. But, when I get really bored, I take off my lab coat (well, whitegunman's duster- shh!), throw on my camos and go a-samplin'. I spent most of my time trying to make a CL 35 with lightarmor. I don't think I ever succeeded in this, but whatever. Here's my question: If I was going to try making a good CL 10 pet, whatkind of stats are we talking about? Are we lookingfor 1k/1k/1k with 30 kinetic? Or 3k/3k/3k with 60 kinetic and 40 energy? To quote my thread's subject: What IS a good CL 10 pet anyway?

Well i haven't masterd BE yet... still working on gettin teh meat but i use non-ch pets all the time with my swordsman. A good Be depends on what the pet was designed to do. A good non Ch tank CAn have as high as 10k health with 50-60 kinetic resist but as long as it has good kinetic and or even enregy resist it will make a good tank regargless of the ham. Some poepl need pets for attacking though so in this case less ham is required so that the Be can make it lvl 10 with goodattack dmg...(sorry not sure what good non Ch dmgs are)

I think anything over 4K health, anda handful of kinetic resists (around 12%) would be a result of the bug in the crafting system and thus stronger than the DEVs intended. Its been posted numerous times by the correspondents that the 10K health, 60% kinetic resist CL 10 clones are unintended and will be nerfed.
So there are 'good' non-ch pets and then there are the pets that were never intended and are around only because of a bug in the crafting and validity check codes.

As far as what the pet checks consider a good pet you would have better luck if you just sacrificed some small animal, as there is no rhyme or reason to it.

The problem I think is the CL for BE pets is based off the DNA, I've got two identicle pets in every way when compared, except one has lower values in secondary stats eg Fortitude 1 compared to 442.
Guess which one has the lower CL
.
Yup the one with a Fortitude of 1.

theres a recipe in faq for making them. from memory i think its VD - VD - HP - HP - HP with two points on physique and one on mind. I tend to find that once fortitude goes over 260, you will get a cl11 pet. Dont worry tho, just resample it and, if needed, mix in trash in either aggressiveness or mental spot. Of course, you will have to do some more experimentation on the physique / prowess / mental parts to get it up a bit. This often weilds results of about 10k/6k/4k HAM with 10-15% kinetic and blast resistance.
