I've noticed in the last week or so on Bria, an absolutely amazing resurgence of Frenzied Grauls and Ancient Grauls. I hadn't seen these in months, and suddenly they're very abundant once again. I'm wondering what the deal is, and whether other people see this as well? I don't think we can just attribute this to being a "seasonal" think, since they were virtually extinct for months. Not that I'm complaining mind you, this is great, I just hope this lasts, and I need to get back to making recipes with these fine creatures once again

are grauls on dath? i thought i had just seen that on swgcreatures last night while looking for what drops carnivore meat. if i am correct, i can safely say that that is not the case on my server. i went out hunting dath carnivore meat and didn't see one graul. if it's not the case, forget everything i just said and chalk me up as someone very confused with poor reading skills.
heck, chalk me up to that anyway, as it's probably accurate.

They have been there all along.
However, with all this FS business bringing a lot of players to Dath instead of killing thousands of Mokks and Jantas on Dant, my guess is that the Dant server is not overloaded as often anymore: it has enough resources to make wild spawns again. It used to be that to find those Grauls you had to go out right after the reset when it was clean and ready to make spawns for us.

I believe they're on Dantooine, not Dathomir. I also understand they haven't been terribly difficult to find if you know where to look. Just the damn babies.

he's got a good point....I know I read somewhere before that each planet has a certain limit of creatures that can be spawned, based on the number of people on a planet at a given time. Mission spawn creatures count against this limit, though, so it makes wild spawns harder to find when everyone on the planet has two missions. The downside of this is with all the mission spawns on Dath now, we'll probably be very hard pressed to find MRs =(

All spawning on Dantooine is up. The player population seems down as well, which frees up server power for more spawns. The F. Graul has been around in the SW of the imp station on dant in the desert area the whole time. This is mostly because of everyone up at the mining outpost and south dantooine has a seperate subserver and hence more spawns. I do know they added in more hardware for dantooine and got the lag worked out for that planet. The results are more natrual spawns of everything. I keep getting camped by them as my factories are on the edge of town.

Hardware should have no influence on spawns. It may increase server stability.
If I'm not mistaken spawns are capped at 250 for each planet, despite hardware performance (just makes it less laggy, etc).

Yes, this is what I understand as well. So 250 gunbunnies running janta solo-missions = no spawns for the rest of the planet

Spent 3 hours in the "graul" area on Dathomir clearing all the spawns. This was the big field to the south where I got my 3 frenzied grauls last year. No grauls spawned in any of those areas after I took out all the lairs in three hours. I was one of 18 people on the planet.
