Hey Maniacle, Fredwroc you're fellow Intrepid Master Smuggler.

I was thinking the same thing. It's more than just no love though, this is pure hatred.

Let me expand on this...

There is no love...

Hatred...maybe....

No lubrication? Definitely....(oops, can I say that on here?)

There is none. Out of 32 professions, the smuggler profession is 4th on the most posts on SOE's boards.

So again, I ask the developers, where is the love?

And again I answer, there is none.

I apologize if this seems "scattershot", I've taken a lot of issues to the producers to get some answers. Most are being looked into. I know, nobody likes that answer (but it really is the second best answer to "We've fixed it"). Anyway here are some answers I did get today:

Please fix the Smuggler issues.
We're dedicating a designer (Green Marine) next week to looking into fixing some of the bigger issues of the smuggler. (Yes, we are also looking at issues with the other professions, the smuggler just seems to be the one needing the most love at this moment).

Can we have more Star Wars Music?
Meeting with music department today. We've always wanted to add more music in the game, now we're finally getting around to scheduling it.

When will death more of a sting?
We're redesigning death a little bit, so "not yet". We want it to be a bit more undesirable. Crafters will be happy to learn that our plan includes damage to uninsured items when you die.

Can we have a Temporary Enemy Flag indicator for when you are covert?
Yes, but this is going to take some time to get to the live servers. Given our current priorities with that programmer, expect overamonth. It will get done.

I have a big list of issues to bug the designers about. I'll get back to it now. I've got some more info on the GCW to sort through; expect a post on the Galactic Civil War forum within an hour.

Guess we don't need the most love at the moment. I would have been happier seeing Droid Engineer needing the most love at this moment if I had to choose a group over us. Smugglers needing love? Give me a break!

In all fairness to the smugglers, they are pretty hosed at the moment.

yeah but at least a smuggler can make spices that have description....and they can even use there own drugs, and actually slice things that actually alot of people like having done and actually gets good mods.

We sit here with still no description on items, things not working at all, and as of yet not one single fix..

Oh yeah thats right....they removed the over 10 meter exploit...and made sampling take longer and also make it take more mind energy....

They also reduced the experience we get for things...

yeah...real big issues with the smuggler there...

The developers at least fixed the lsiving and the spices....but we dont even get that...we get messages saying things will happen..someday...or messages saying these are what are planned....

So gee i think the smuggler has real big issues too....not...
The fencer is worse off...no weapons...no damage...and they hit at 4 meters only compared to all other brawler groups who have a range over 10 meters and they all do more damage...lol

So yeah smuggler is real important there.

Where is the love?

Easy, it's in the Commando forums. And in the Ranger forums. Oh, and lets not forget 2 months of in-depth dev handling of the CH class.

God forbid they ever put ANYTHING to test for us other than nerfs. I think someone would have a freaking heart attack.

Welcome to being a second class citizen. Enjoy your stay.

I ama returningarmoursmith who has just spent 2 days tracking down a particular resource I need ... it just so happens that the resource was on the vendor of a well know MAS who shall remain nameless ... being rather cash poor I gmailed him/her/it to see if she would slice off 15k of the 65k stack that was on the vendor ... not only did she refuse to do this (fair enough) but after I had sold my anniversary sketches to pay for it, she removed it from sale ... now I'm not asking for a handout here, and this does not constitute any technical breach, but you gotta be kidding me ... I have all but 2 resources to gather before I can start making ONE class of armour on a server where there is ONE other smith making it ... and it wasnt even the same player ... I remember back in the day when we would GIVE stuff to noobs, take a couple of hours to chat and send the unsuspecting fool off to read Parnes Epistle ... how many of us actually made it past Composite? ... What has happened to us people? ... 30 million credits a week not doing it for us anymore? ... I ask you ... where is the love?

Well, I always assisted newer smiths that crossed my path. I was rewarded with my stockpile of resources and experimentation suit being devalued severely so they could compete more easily. I still want to want to help but SOE sure doesn't make it easy.

On a side note, too bad you're not on Starsider. I could sure use a hand.

In a galaxy run crazy... Jedi everywhere.. no smuggling... busted-ass bugs... no GCW... no content... and neglected professions, things get busted up and our patience wears thin.

The smuggler forum is no doubt THE place to look for the love.

For those of us who are getting tired, who are losing their cool, or are lashing out at other communities, i.e. me with Jedi, check out this video. Scroll down and select the video "Where Is The Love?" at the very bottom.

Perhaps radiating love everywhere instead of hate is the only way for many of us losing our minds hanging onto this game to truly find a place of fun, peace, and enjoyment The better part of me STILL wants to be a smartass to Jedi, but in a loving way

I know exactly how you feel smuggler brother.

Perhaps thats why MisTagents Idea about posting a friendly welcome in other profession's forums was a good idea... get all the neglected together, working together, and that will be something the developers cannot ignore.

If all the smugglers stood by the entertainers/squad leaders/commandos/rangers and they stood by us.. working together we could finally get some much needed attention. And if not, what is the worst that could happen, in the end at least we know we tried together...

As for the patience wearing thin, that's why I changed my signature to the following:
