What are some good tips for sampling rancors?? everytime i get to 50 m they aggro. let me know what you guys do to get around that.

The strategy that I am finding that works well is putting up mask scent andriding my speederbike to within about 75m of the closest rancor. Jump off and store the bike. Then WALK, don't run, to within 55m or 60m. If youare detected, stop moving, and stand still (or go to the prone position if you want to), until you can re-do mask scent. Keep walking up to the rancor and then you can sample. At this point you can also generate your bike, and hop on it while sampling so you have a way to escape if necessary.
I've only been doing this with rancor youth, rancors, and bull rancors, and it works very well. Can't imagine it would be much different with the rest of the rancor family.

i think prone is the best way to go. takes longer to get over to them, but i wasnt aggroed once by going prone, doesnt mean it cant happen though.

hehe have a squad leader call retreat while you are crawling, its faster than a ranger crawl =D its kinda liek a burst crawl, also you will get a terrain neg bonus from the sl, i love sl and rangers too bad theres not more of them around
