Thread: Developing my recipes
I also have a collection of sorts of recipes at
http://www.games-asgr.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19
which I've been collecting for awhile. As for tricks for mutant rancors, I haven't had a great deal of success but I did find that bike-sampling worked pretty well since you could escape when (not if) they aggroed.

Recipies you will have lots to read and more gained from experience...
As for Mutants, I will tell you how to get to them and get a couple samples everytime before they aggro you.
1. Protection: I reccomend getting a good set of Ubese, and setting a macro up to put it all on at once.
2. Mask Scent: Get a good set of clothes, and honestly work youir way to at least explore 4 in the scout tree. Then purchase some good jawa beer from a local chef, the +16 or so gained from jawa beer is well worth your time and money when sampling mutants.
3. Approach: This is where it gets tidious, but it does pay off well. Learn to crawl on your knees. When you spot a group of mutants, at about 70m out I find it is best to drop to prone target the closest mutant and crawl to it. If your scent breaks as you get closer, and sometimes it will, Stop IMMEDIATLY... wait, and reapply scent as soon as you can. Then proceed. You should be able to get within the 15m sampling distance now... keep moving on your knees and sample while moving.
4. The Sample: keep moving on your knees and sample while moving. Onc eyou start, stop moving and try to watch the rancor's reaction. If the question mark or exclamtion appear... wait 20-30 seconds and then sample, if not sample again. You have to be dilligent and so far more than 2 samples is near impossible on a single mutant for me. But that should help a lot
How do you move on your knees? I know how to crawl in /prone, but if I /kneel, then move, I automatically stand. Hints?
