Thread: BECalc 2.0 may be out for the weekend!
- First major release with tissue pricing added.
- Added a help file.
- Rearranged the main page so I could add more buttons to it.
- I think I've fixed the issue with thecomma/fullstop decimal place error for Euro users. Please PM me if it is still not working for your region.
- Added the option to switch between displaying the creatures stats, or how the price was calculated.
Here is a sample of the Price List it can generate (this is per tissue, it can do per crate as well):

And the "shopping list" for a tissue:
Multisaccharide Pentamate
Resources required for a run of 1000 (not including schematic "cost")
35000 Berries @ 10cr each = 350,000cr to buy
45000 Flora Food @ 5cr each = 225,000cr to buy
40000 Milk @ 20cr each = 800,000cr to buy
Total Cost to make: 1,375,000
I'm a big fan of BE Calc 1.3, and I'll definitely be looking to use this too.
However, the only problem I see with it is that a lot of people will tend to use the default settings, either through laziness, or because they don't feel like they know enough to play with all the options. Therefore as more people use it, the tendency will be for the prices charged to slide towards those default prices. This means getting those prices right is critical.
Which is why I'm hoping that the prices you quoted in your example aren't the default prices! If I was only getting 489 cr for each PetStimB and 839 for my BSpecs, I wouldn't even bother getting out of bed! Please tell me that was just an example, and the default prices are a lot higher! ![]()

If the default prices don't work for you then change them! Given the amount of work he's put into it I think we need to say "Thank You Very Much Sir" and take what we're given.
Awesome piece of software!
If I might, I am not sure if you've already done this with v2 over v1.3.1 but lock the resize on the window if you're not going to allow the controls to resize.

Thanks for saying so!
Always nice to hear people find it useful.

I agree. I started a few threads some weeks ago asking for general feedback on resource pricing. The first listed what resources we use. In the second thread I listed what the prices will be and sought feedback from people on if they thought the prices were fair. Some said too high, some said too low, so it must be pretty close I guess. There were a few items that people said should be 100 cpu (some of the specilist meats), but if people really are paying that much I think they can edit the resource price themselves. Mostly meat runs between 10-20cpu and flora 5-15 (Tal fungus for example is 15).

There is a seperate Alternate Pet Stim Pricing section that works of the standard BE pricing for PS which is:
Power times Charges divided by Factor
Using the Alt system,a PS of 800/30 with a factor of 10 will cost2400 per unit or 120,000 per crate.
I've just heard back from Arthur, so I'm off to tidy up some of the things he reported, so hopefully either later tonight (Aussie time) or Friday (tomorrow for me) I'll upload it.
