I must be doing something wrong, because I have dna 1 and I just spent up ALL my action pool on a flesheating chuba and I still failed to get a single dna sample from it.... Ok, I dont have *alot* of action, but I think I did around 15 tries on the sucker. With moun gold, I have no problem with mindpool. Its the action pool that limits how many samples I can do in one go.

What is wrong here? Is there a way to tell what creature will be near impossible to sample from? If there is, it will save me alot of time. Other times, and on other flesheating chubas I fail only half the time or even 1/3 the time. Failing 15+ times on a single lowlife creature blows.

Carry a Stimpack B with you when you sample. As a BE, you do have novice medic. When you need to replenish your action pool, just heal yourself. If you're under the effects of muon gold, your mind shouldn't be affected by using it as well. Also, unless you already are, try sampling without any armor on, the encumbrance penalty of wearing armor can still limit your sampling efficiency even if you are using muon gold. I prefer to sample with mask scent and injury/wound healing enhanced clothing, myself.

Nothing's wrong, really. You're at DNA Sampling I, simple as that. Your success rates will increase as you level in sampling. The CL of the creature does affect your success rate as well, but the only way around this is to keep sampling to build up your sampling level so you can sample with less failures. As far as I know, the only "impossible" creatures to sample are those over CL 75. You have two choices here:

1 - Continue to sample the "easier" creatures like gnorts, chubas, etc. Your failure rate will not be as high, but you'll have "weaker" DNA for your creations, and your sampling ability goes up slower.

2 - Sample something more "dangerous." Yes, your failure rate will be higher against a higher CL creature, BUT you'll get quality DNA when you pull it off, and a much larger amount of xp in sampling. I'm not saying to go and look for a rancor to sample, but in reading your post for example, you're in Naboo, so go sample fambaas. If they aggro on you and incap you, so what? They don't DB, so wait for your incap time to run out, heal yourself up, and go after them again. Just be mindful ofgetting yourselfthree times in a ten minute period, so you don't die.

make sure your Inv is empty ... you won't get a system msg telling you that it is, but will only continue to fail you until there is room again.
