Thread: DNA SAMPLING!!!!!!!!!
oh that happens a LOT when you are a novice BE and more than we'd like as well at master BE. Look around starter planet cities for small animals - level 1 to 4 and just keep trying and trying and you'll get there. More success as you go up in DNA sampling level and also make sure that your inventory isn't full if you are having a LOT of fails on stuff suddenly when you were having successes before.

1) Make sure you have "Mask Scent" if you don't have that then I highly suggest you get it.
2) Go to Mos Entha outside the gates is a really good level 1-4 spawn.
3) Turn on "Mask Scent"
4) Sample DNA
Note: If you're low level you'll find that it will not succeed as often, however with Mask Scent it will succeed much more.

This is correct. For a level 70 you get in the order of 900+ xp per sample. Mind you it is darn difficult to sample that high and you need to be a master BE. There are 'probability caps' on each level of sampling.
If you are grinding DNA sampling xp ,youreally want to go for the higher RATE of DNA xp gaining which happens with smaller creatures FOR YOUR DNA SAMPLING LEVEL - ie. find the sweet spot for that level - or even check the FAQ under this question ... Lammergeier has worked out the best level to sample for each DNA sampling box and it is posted in the FAQ.
