The chef profession is dead.
Dont worry I have seen it too, there is atleast 1 pretty dedicated smuggler and scout flooding the food market with cheap foraged goods and smugglers that I am currently concerned about.
I saw a couple people puking but virtual puking isnt much of a deterant to eating them.
I'm with ya SirVimes. I quit as well. I got to Entrees II, Mix II, Cooking I, and said screw it. I'm quitting until they fix the profession, and until then I'm making the Tatooine Sunburns only, and only to friends, I'm done trying to break even. -10k is what I average per day.

I've had it. Crafting in general is pissing me off big time. I made 14 rancors today. All from level 50 dna I spent most of the weekend getting from Endor. I am a master BE and have been one for over a month now.I have top of the line crafting tools and crafting station. I have fantastic quality flora. Since the meat I bought on the bizaar decided to disappear on me I had to result to using very good, not great, meat for creature crafting. You get the picture.
So anyway...I made 14 rancors today. Of the 14 crafting steps necessary to create a BE clone guess how many "great successes I got? ONE, just ONE.
Now I know experimentation is messed up and sometimes the result says one thing but means another....this was not the case. ALL of the ones that were not a "great success" resulted in very crappy products. The ONE "great success" was something I was proud to have made. But come on. I am a master BE it should not take 14 rancors to get one single great one. This is utter BS.
FIX CRAFTING FOR EVERYONE!
Ok, the DNA sampling is driving me nuts. I am so sick and tired of that **edit** graphic. Do NOT tell me I have to keep moving to keep the graphic from showing up. That is not something you want to do when you are in the middle of Endor with a bunch of nasty vicious creatures all around you. Take out that **edit** DNA sampling graphic.
DNA Samples...again, I am a master BE...why is it the vast majority of DNA samples I get are pure crap? I mean my Very High quality DNA samples often have worse stats then some of my Above Average samples. This SUCKS. I am tired of spending hours getting DNA from high level creatures and getting garbage. What is the point of being a master BE if the stuff I get is just a barely better then DNA Sampling 3?
I am not even going to go into the lack of attention from the devs. This profession would have been better off never having been created.
Ok, sorry everyone. I had a bad day. Too many failures. Hours wasted. Lots of credits lost. Very depressing

i agree with all of them.
i also get the impression that eves is just taking a break 
not quitting.
