Thread: Just made a pet that will never be re-created
Why? Because I had to get a great success and then two big failures in a rowwhen experimenting. This is first generation, 5/5 of the same DNA:
cl20
speed 2.1
to-hit .43
damage 500-510
HAM: ~8500
strong disease
all resists 48%
Iwish I could make another 2, but I can't think of a way to repeat it, eventhough I know the recipe.![]()
the damage is insane for such a low level, but if you were using the exploity nox kamurith having a HAM like 8.5H/6.5A/4M is pretty normal for that level.

When you say it's 8500, I assume you actually mean Health, and not HAM?
No, Health Action, and mind are all close to 8500 (7000-9000 range)
Fellstaff,
Like I said I did not use karumith DNA, all 5 slots were the same DNA, this is first generation. I know of no exploits that can do what I did. In fact, I tried again and again and the closest I can get is CL 40. From what I can gather this pet is the result of 2 experimentation failures in very specific stats. That is whythis creatureis not repeatable, and not an exploit.
It was made with either Kamurith defiler or Merek deaths head dna, probably mdh to get resists up to 48% (also fits with the claim not to use kamurith dna). I would bet at least one of the failures was in Prowess and it dropped fortitude (meaning no armor), resulting in a reduction in CL. Not entirely sure how it got down to CL20 without knowing all the numbers but trying to keep the recipe as a big secret is a bit sad.
Saying it didn't use 'bugged' kamurith is irrelevent. The bug is not with any specific creature's dna, it with using any dna samples that share resists that are effectiveness based and not special protections. Merek deaths head dna has exactly the same effect as kam def or any of the other 'bugged' dna - once again, its the way effectiveness resists are calculated that causes the problem, and their are dozens of creatures that will produce the same sort of results to one degree or another.
Of course I will share it...
My point was that it is unrepeatable unless you get one amazing success and 2 big failures. I am not worried about it being an exploit because I guarantee you can try it and it won't work
This isexactly what I did:
I used death's head DNA in all 5 slots (mostly average, one HQ in physique, one AA in prowess). Experimented once in physique to get a great success (light armor). Experimented again in physique because i was dumb and didn't know I could lose armor (big failure). In a panic, I experimented physique again to get armor back (big failure). Made the template (Moderate failure). Depressed, I made it into a kaadufor experience points and was surprised at the result.
By the way, I have had similar experience with failures using other DNA, but usually it will only affect a few of the stats, and each time I experiment it brings some back to normal and others down. This time they all stayed down (or up, depending on how you look at it.) I am pretty sure this is not an exploit or I would be able to do it again.
When I say 'specific stats', I mean some specific stat in the DNA was changed that relates to CL. I say specific not because I know what it is, but because the CL was lowered and the damage stayed high. So I think there must be a seperate stat for CL vs Damage.
I think I've sussed this stuff
The low CL on these things is the result of one or two internal stats getting near zeroed out or even going negative somehow, which allows others to be quite high and when averaged end up giving a low CL.
Clearly it happens on the critters that have the across the board resists the most. Probably because those are based on a different number, or the calculation for them is off and they roll under and back up again due to an error in the calcuations.
Well one if not both failures in Physique subtracted fortitude and dramatically added to power...and I would guess one of the Psychological traits as well to keep the CL so low even with the high damage.
Failures commonly do subtract from what you were trying to experiment in and add to something else. Actually I think they always do.
cool level 20 pet btw,
