I'm not sure if this is a known bug or not (I read some of the stickies here but didn't see it)..

Anyhow, my wife is a crafter and rarely goes into combat-usually only ever on a harvestor run and she gets agro. She has some Tailored shirts, wraps, shoes, etc in her house in a 'closet' and she noticed they are all decayed (850/1000). She has never worn any of this stuff and was just keeping it if/when she wanted a change (gotta love that revealing fleshwrap ) Anyhow, she purchased the items from a tailor in our same Player City, so we know she didn't die in the 50m run between the vendor and the house.

Is this a known bug that clothes decay even if they're not on your being?

We see Weapon Repair kits, Armor Repair kits but have never seen a Clothing Repair kit, are they repairable? (If not I'm afraid she's just going to sell them before they vanish on her before she can ever wear them)

Uh, so WE don't want it, and YOU don't want it in for PvP--then why is it still there??

They decay if you are carrying them and you die. I am pretty sure that is the only way, so they must have decayed before she bought them if she didn't die.

Yep, it's possible that the person she bought them from died a couple of times while the item was on them.

They also may sell used clothing. I know I'll sometimes sell used BE clothes if someone offers them to my vendor for a low enough price. But I always mark the price down and put a note in the description that it's not in perfect condition. The main thing to remember when buying anything is to pay attention to the details screen, including the condition, stats, and anything the seller listed in the description window.

Thanks for your replies. The tailor my wife bought them from is well respected and my wife insists all items were 1000/1000 when purchased. The items aren't BE'd, just normal shoes, skirts and colored armor boots. It appears it isn't a wide problem so we'll do some tests tonight..

(Hey, maybe I'll finally get to kill my wife and get away with it!) LOL

Just a note....

If you are carrying something that you don't want to decay and you think you are about to get into a situation where you might die, put that item into a storage droid. At least for right now items stored in droids do not decay.

I actually had something similar happen to me. I made an outfit, hadn't hunted in it,certainly hadn't died, and ended up switching clothes. I dropped the items in a warehouse and when I went in there last night to pick up some supplies to make a customer a dress and I noticed that theLekku Wrap was at 900/1000. It's no big deal as that if I really want to, I can make myself a new one at 1000/1000, but at the same time I questioned my memory...

I do have a birthday coming up, maybe it's just signs that I am getting old...

Nah, I am perpetually 29... (and anyone who disagrees gets my droid with the crafting station sicced on 'em )
