I know from personal experience that youths and gnarled can. I've read that mutant can. I seem to recall that bulls and ancient cannot. What about enraged? Are there any I am missing?

I got a singing mountain clan Rancor, once, then I died! What I did was to crawl around a mountain where he was. I used the mountain as cover and got within 15m, sampled once then he aggroed me!

You CAN sample:

Rancors, Rancor Youths, Mutant Rancors, Gnarled Rancors, Bull Rancors, Nightsister Rancors and Singing Mountain Clan Rancors

You CANNOT sample:

Enraged Rancors, Ancient Rancors, Ancient Bull Rancors, Ancient Gnarled Rancors and of course any babies.

I feel like I'm missing one but I can't put my finger on it. Basically if it says Enraged or Ancient, don't waste your time or your muon.

Thanks, enraged rancors were killing me without any samples obtained. Now I know not to bother.
