Thread: Endurance, Dependability, and Fierceness are not totally useless

Sumorex has come up with calculations (I just bumped his thread) for how much of an increase you get with each experiment point:

For Hardiness (H) and Fortitude (F) (can be applied to other 8 attributes as well):
Hardiness increase = [ F / ( F + H )] x 140
Fortitude increase = [ H / ( F + H )] x 140

Note that the average increase is 70 points, which shows as a 7% increase on the experimentation bar. So, if H > F, F goes up by more than 70 points and H by less than 70 points, but the bar only shows a 7% increase.

Quoting Sumorex: "This only works for Great Successes on stat pairs that do NOT hit a maximum on either category. This does not work for Psychology predictions using 2nd (or higher) generation DNA."

So, Endurance, Dependability, and Fierceness are not totally useless. I got plenty of samples from the Great Plains Stalker and noticed that all of the samples had Dependability > 1000. So, I got large increases in Courage for each experiment point. A higher Endurance should result in a larger increase in Dexterity for each point. Creatures with high Ferocity give samples with high Fierceness. The Great Plains Stalker has a Ferocity of 15, and the samples from it have Fierceness in the high 700s. So, this led to large increases in Damage per experiment point. For creatures with Ferocity = 0, Fierceness maxes out near 100, limiting how much of an increase in Damage you can get per point.

Many have noticed that Aggression often doesn't go up by a full 7% with each experiment point, so the above formula often doesn't hold for Aggression. With the GPS and other creatures with high Ferocity, such as Rancors, I get the full 7% increase on each experiment point to Aggression. This, together with the high Fierceness leads to Damage increases of over 70 points per experiment point.
