Thread: Pricing for tailor biotissues

I've been do a LOT of runs of these recently, I think I've got over 1000 units in my vendor now.

I've been charging a flat 3000 per unit for them, but I see others who have schemes based on the actual bonuses. How do you price them?

Also, I have been following a strategy of aiming for +13 at max experimentation. Why? Because the max bonus is +20, and the max adjustment for a player is +25, so the way I see it, tailors are going to be using two of them anyway. Might as well get the most out of the components.

you know, I know I'm going to come off sounding like a jerk, but there are like 3-4 of this exact same post every week, and I think with each one they become less and less valuable.

Talthazar, I know these threads are kinda silly, but could we just do one "mother-of-all-here's what I charge for tissues/stims/pets" thread and sticky it?

yeah, and almost all of them have one or two replies, fromasses complaining about it. In the time it took you to complain, you could have just answered.

That's not the point. The point is, someone will ask this same question tomorrow, and the next day, and ...

I used to have a differentiated pricing structure, varying with the demand of each individual tissue. However, that got to be too much of hassle, so now I usually sell them for 2500 flat on my vendor. Sometimes I stick one or two in the bazaar for 3000 and that seems to sell pretty well, too.

Don't mind the "use the search" or "this gets asked all the time" crowd. Most people are under the misconception that forums/message boards are knowledge bases. When infact, they are a community gathering place to discuss topics of like interest. I choose to just not participate if the topic is not of any positive interest to me...

I charge 500cr per average point. a +14/+14 is 7k and a +4/+16 is 5k. However, I am thinking about lowering my price a bit due to the large number of new BE's with better prices

A sticky would be nice though...

I just posted a breakdown of the costs of making the tissues, based on some threshold prices on components. That may help you decide how you wish to proceed as well.

I charge 300 cr per plus to a skill point.

Therefore a +8 contrictor cloth would cost 2400 credits. However, a +17/+17 Active Bio-Sensor would cost 10200 credits.

3000/tissue except taming, cover, enhanced myoflex. PRic those hoever i see fit, 6k or so for the myoflex usually.

Keeping my prices at 3K each for my top custoemrs but raising them to 4k each tissue for the general public. Because I can, and because the tissues are worth more than that even, and because tailors make a killing off them. Especially since I am able to 1000 unit runs now if i feel like it, and really, peopel will pay more if they *know* you can deliver consistently.

My prices are in line with what is quoted here but I charge a premium for "special orders" (up to 7500 per tissue).

If you check what Tailors get for some of the clothes they sell that are "BE Enhanced," you'll be inclined to raise your prices (hehe).

I had one Master Tailor say he got some Active Bios for 3k a pop from a BE onour serverafter I quoted him 7k. I congratulated him on his great find and waited for a counter-offer. We settled at 5k per if he was buying 50 or more. Both of us ended happy with the deal and still do business.

I get money so I can pay Rangers to hunt premium meat and bone for me and he has clothes to sell Doctors who buff the Rangers so they stay healthy and active. Everybody wins!

I also sell at a flat 3kcpu for tissues, but I usually dont sell tissues (except biosensors) at less than +15. Myoflex I sell for 10k each because eggs are a pain until the next publish.
