I was making a few runs of chef tissues, when I noticed that some of the BSNs I made were not turning out as well as I expected them to. After playing around with the ingredients a bit, I noticed that the flavor hardly seemed to make any difference at all. Here's the data on the resources I used:
FL PEOQ AVG
meat 1 - 998 805832 878
meat 2 - 434 906 920 753
flora 1 - 980 840 651 823
flora 2 - 440 712 998 716
Now, supposedly, these should have an equal weight in the crafting process (hence the average listed). If this is the case, then meat 1 and flora1 should make the highest quality product. However, I tried all possible combines with them and all turned out 83except formeat 2 with flora 2, which turned out 84. This struck me as odd since they had lousy flavor, even though they had slightly better OQ. Has anyone else noticed something like this?
BTW, all combines were repeated with the same results.

Was this repeatable? Maybe you got an amazing instead of a great. I'll say, and many people have said and will say that it's 33%/33%/33%.

Yes, it was repeatable. These were made after I thought to record the data, but all nutrients I made with the higher OQ flora (2)were either no different from the better overall flora (1), or were better. I thought at first it might be because of the assembly roll, but over the past 2 days I have had the same results every time with 5 other meat samples. I finally decided this morning to write it down and ask if anyone else had noticed the same thing.

I as well had very high quality resources and was playing at making Broad Spectrums. I made +86 playing with them, and was discussing with my chef if that was ok (relatively new BE, old player
The next day i was going to throw them into the factory. I went to experiment using the same resources in the same combos and could only get +83. No matter which combos i tried i cannot get higher than +83. Also on Intelligent Nanos I was hitting +115 , the next day i could only hit +113 (same resources as the night before). Changed crafting stations +43, changed crafting tools +14.96 and played with the resources...nothing
Anyone else experienced a difference in their expermentation? I believe this was Monday Night/Tuesday day.
thanks

I'm at work so don't have the numbers in front of me but yes tissues seem to favor oq to a certian extent the OQ seems to determine how high the inital number is before experimentation and PE more than flavor seems to determine how much experimentation can be done.

This is where it was discussed before.

Yep, Yep. This seems to be the case I am discovering as well. I had used the old adage of totaling up the three scores, and trying to find breakpoints for +84, +85 BSN's. Last night through be for a loop. Had some Very High OQ, and PE Avian, and very poor FL avian - seriously, it was like 256 or something. The total of the three scores was literally 300 points lower than my lowest +85 creation to date...and somehow it eeked out +85. Items of note are that the flavor affecting experimentation thing is probably correct. I had been having a problem with left over experimentation points that I couldn't use. This avian used every point, but I got the stats. I am going to say that OQ, depending on the circumstances, can make a big difference.

I read somewhere that the ratio was really 50% OQ, 30% PE and 20% FL. I haven't done any real scientific testing of this but I know it's not 33% for OQ, PE and FL.
