Thread: What would you concider to be the best DNA

I made MBE about 2 weeks ago and was woundering what is the best DNA a MBE can sample, without the mask cent mods of a Master Ranger, I know that keep me from approaching some things I would like to saple from, I do have a plus 25 mod from cloths I made on mask cent tho, I believe 25 is the cap on any mod form cloths(correct me if I'm wrong and I'll make some more to help out) I found bull rancors are good, but kinda hard to get very high quality from. please give some advise. Thank you

well with exploration IV, +25 in mask scent clothes and jawa beer, i have little trouble sampling the hardest creature (mutant rancors)
the trick is to realize that they can still SEE you..... so crawl along the ground behind them
this can be problematic for packs of them looking in all different directions but don't give up hope
as to the "best" samples..... there are a few that are really good, but many are good if you combine them with something else......... a few that i can think of off the top of my head that you should look into:
merek harvester
bark mite burrower/bark mite burrower queen
voritor dasher
horned voritor lizard
graul mauler/ancient graul (are frenzied grauls sampalable? it's been a while since i've even seen one, let alone tried to sample)
mutant rancor
there are a few that arerare or somewhat harder to findalso.....
gronda juggernaught
mire marauder
reclusive cavern spider (i think that's what it's called)
insane mantigrue beserker
young malkloc plainswalker
king merek harvester/queen merek harvester

This really depends on what your reasons are for the sample. You obviously want to make a pet so that'll be a given. If you want the sample with the highest numbers that you can sample at master on your best day, I would suggest mutant rancors. If you want to make CL10's the best samples are Voritor Dashers and Huurton Pups. If you're looking to make a pet with a poison special I suggest the various arachnes on Endor with even very low level samples possible for the novice BE. For making pets with high resists, I suggest mantrigues also on Endor.
My personal favorites are Arachne Webmasters, Deranged Mantrigues,cl50 Gurrecks (they're non-aggro), and cl50 Blurrgs (also non-aggro).

My top favorites are:
painswalker youth - good ham/resists for high end animals
frenizy graul - very few vulns, good resists, high end
mutant rancor - awsome damage and ham
markmite burrower - good ham/resists, easy to find
voirtor dasher - perfect cl10 combo
huurton pup - next part of that combo
grassland voirtor tracker - excellent resists for mid level animals
quenker relic quanker - intimidate and blind with good resists

For high resists, I like mantigrue reapers.
Mixing some non-armor but high resist pets like prowling gurrecks, rhoa kwi guardians or gaping spider queens with armored DNA gives you a good boost (or really nice non-armored ones).
Using VHQ RKG or the pack leaders are great for getting the cripple/dizzy combination. Rancors work well for stun/intimidate. I use both of those frequently.

If there's a DNA that you simply can't have enough of, it's gotta be Merek Harvestor. If you see one, never fail to grab a couple samples. You can't use it on everything, but it's definately the core of my PvE line.

Anyone ever try to sample the enhanced kwi inside the geonisian cave? they are pretty easy to sneak up on. I was thinking they would be pretty good DNA to sample. Is it possible?

I tried sampling enhanced kwi from Genosian caves but only got 2 shots at it before it agro'ed - I have had a tough time sampling cl80+ creatures - ancient bull rancors, big kimogillas, the real big maklok, albatros peko peko - I suspect there is a ceiling.
