I see that Broad Spectrum Nanonutrients are a medium food additive. Is there a heavy additive that affects n?

There are 12 chef additives total.4 light/4 medium/ 4 heavy. The heavy equivilent of the BSN is Intelligent Nanonutrients.

Do you have to be Master BE to be able to craft these?

To craft them well (higher numbers) yes, since a master has +10. However a BE with tissues 4 and experimentation 4 will be able to craft with 8 experimentation points (guys correct me if I am wrong on that point).

But bear in mind that a chef can only use heavy nutrients in some foods. Basically a heavy cannot be used in a light food, but a light can be used in a heavy food. IE Intelligent nanonutrients cannot be used to make brandy, but micronutrients can be used in place of broad spectrum nutrients.
