Pretty please with sugar on top?
We all know the rules of the forum. We know this isnt a trade board because of Jaessa's sticky, we know that most of the questions asked on the forum are answered in the FAQ or BE guide - but that thing is huge and has more information in it than any other profession FAQ such is the nature of BE. Either answer the question or ignore it, dont flame, dont post sarcastic comments, just move along.
Same goes for trade posts, either post a link to the vendor thread or move along - just leave it.
If for 1 week we can manage to be polite and curteous to everyone that posts you can have your stickies back - and a new state of the profession post

ok - I'll play.
I have a suggestion though.
The 'Find a BE vendor' thread - why not make a thread that only lasts for 3 months like the "Find a PA Thread" in the server forums? Title it something like "Active Bio Engineers List [JULY->SEPT 2004]" and we can all just add our details to the thread. Then just sticky it until 1st October when we start a new thread?
Just figured that might be an easier way to keep an up to date list available than having everyone PM you to get on the list, but there's no way they'll PM you to get off it when they drop BE/quit SWG

The reaon for having it the way it is is so that its easier to find a BE on your server - if I was to let just everyone post then they would all be out of order and difficult to find.

I thought we were being nice lately, at least better than we used to. If someone asks for a BE on their server, we point them to the vendor listing and don't one-star... cuz honestly, I don't think I can name more than 1 other BE on my own server, much less the other ones.
If someone has a n00b question, we've generally been answering very politely... someone might point out the fact that the answer is in the FAQ, but we end up answering their questions anyhow.

I've been 100% supportive of our correspondent but I feel this is crossing the line, condescending and inappropriate. I have a mother, thank you, and she does not play SWG. Please be clear, concise and have CSR documentation as back up - to explain how the removal of threads corresponds with us being "deserving, well-behaved children."
Until such documentation is provided, I respectfully remain disgusted and distastful of this treatment.

Obviously your mother never taught you to have a sense of humor.

Saying everything is a joke is a cop-out. "Oh, sure I insulted the hell out of you but I WAS JUST KIDDING", so it's okay? Please excuse me if I don't buy that bridge.

The positive start to the thread quickly went downhill
I can play nice.
And let me say that while i noticed the stickies gone i never posted about them, as i just care that much....
Plus i havefaith that the correspondant knows what she is doing enough to do whatever she is doing. /shrug
Did notice and got rather anoyed with one or two very negative posts (which i saw deleted quite soon also) and i do hope we can leave out the addition of anymore
