I couldn't see the answer in the FAQ. But im sure someboday already answered...
There are 4 types of additivesBio engineer can make :

easy friend.
The first one helps to reduce the filling of a food or drink
the second is to aid in the duration of a food or drink
the third is to help in the quantity of the food or drink you have
and the last is the most important as it gauges how strong your food or drink is, most chefs go for this one.

And if we have to choose between Broad and intelligent.. which one should we use ?
AreIntelligentnutrinent boosting mind bonus?
im getting 85 on Broad and 115 on Intelligent.
I suppose it's a direct bonus?
Like 315 Brandy without additive and 400 Brandy with additive ?

It is actually different levels. Broad is a medium level while intelligent is aheavy level nutritional additive. And it depends on what the food can take. Foods that take a light additive can take light additive only. Foods that can take a medium additive can take light or medium. Foods that can take a heavy additive can take all three.
Obviously, the higher the level of additive the better, but also much more expensive.
If you go to the bottom of this page it has a list of all the additives and what they do:

I have been making a LOG of BSN's and Intelligent Nano's lately and about the best I can get for bonuses is 85 on the BSN's and about 115 for the IN's. Every time I end up with 1 or 2 experementation points left over and my Experementation max'd out.
This last time I used a floral component with about 85% stats (All the stats averaged) and a meat with about the same stats. I used that Ploy-whatever and Bespin Port during experementation. I tried doing a large (6 or 7 points) experementation first then finishing off with single point experementations.... then I tried going through all my experementation one point at a time. The one point at a time method gave me the best bonuses.
What I am asking here is how the heck do you guys get BSN's in the 87 range and IN's in the 118 range??? Is it just starting out with highly UBER Resources??? Do you do youe experementation differently?? Is there some other food or drink I need to be using???

yes, its entirely resource quality. You dont need to use any foods or bonuses, even with uber resources you'll have points left over after you max.
Try using wood with OQ 950+ in the Organic slot; there'sa loophole in the crafting code that will make it act as though the wood had a PE and FL value equal to the average of your meat and flora's values, and the high OQ on your wood will usually help bump your experiment max up over 85.
I used wood with OQ of 935 IIRC with flora OQ 718 FL 889 PE 934 and meat FL 998 PE 805 OQ 832 and got 86, where using just the flora in the organic slot too gave me 85.

Yup, I agree, it's all about resource quality. As a BE you need to spend a lot of time sampling planets to find the best of the best resoruces. I've gotten to the point where I will never take a flora resources less then OQ+PE+FL=2600 where OQ can be no less then 900, or a Creature food resource less then OQ+PE+FL=2400, where OQ can be no less then 900. The flora resource isn't at all hard to find, with 10 planets, each having 15 (not counting wood) flora, there's a good chance something somewhere will be +2600. And since I've found flora hot spots on most of the planets, I can sample every flora resources without having to move, so it doesn't take all that long to do. The thing that sucks is that it's hard to get good meat in any quantity. But if you are in a good guild, the hunters will/should always keep tabs on creature resources.

also www.swgcraft.com keeps a player-updated database of all current resource spawns - everyone uses it to find the best shifts =)

Keep in mind that an 85% average gives you +25 points from the 30 point range nutrients can have, which gives you 55/85/115 for tissues. That is discounting the slight varience there seems to be due to OQ/FL/PE not seeming to be quite even.
Amazing successes during experimentation only help stretch your points further by moving the bar more. An amazing during the initial assembly will slightly raise your maximum product rating, however.
The trick with wood is that the FL/PE stats are then only determined by the other two components. If those are high but the OQ is not as good as the wood's, you bump the OQ up without hurting the FL/PE of those resources.
