A customer of mine has requested 2 special pets, she wants them to be lvl35 so that she can have them both out at the same time and they should have 60% kinetic resist or close to it and HIGH electricity resistance.

They should have Strong Disease/Strong Poison/Dizzy/Knockdown. I have been trying numerous combinations, mostly with Blurrg Sand Crawlers since the resistmatches what she wants. I dont have any problems getting the resist/level/HAM that she wants but the specials are hopeless.

I have tried alot of different other creatures to breed in the specials but without any luck, the BSC specials always tend to stick, especially the Stun attack. I have tried to move around the different samples to other slots but i cant get it to go away.

If anyone could help me out somewhat i would really appreciate it.

The whole "breeding in specials" thing is fine when you have some time to kill, or are making pets where specials are not critical and you're documenting results and stuff, but when you're under the gun I wouldn't recommend doing that. Better to just go to www.swgcreatures.com and try to find a creature with the exact 2 specials that you want and is in the ballpark CL-wise. Then just extract a VHQ sample of it, and put it in the aggr slot. You'll get those 2 specials every time. If you can't find such a creature, or if using such a creature's dna introduces unnaceptable vulnerabilities, then just tell the customer what his/her options are and move on. In general, when making a custom pet I allow the user to dictate 1 special if they like, but not two, unless the pair they are specifying happens to be something reasonable to obtain. It just makes things simpler and I've never had a customer not order because of this.

Off the top of my head, the two pairs you list are not that bad to find. Poison/disease in particular is a piece of cake, just use merek death's head. The nice thing about that dna is that it has no vulnerabilities, so whatever your resist requirements are, it won't screw them up as long as you're willing to do 2 generations or more of the dna to get the final creature. Also it hits really hard, so you can put that on a high damage pet if that's what you're after.

As far as dizzy/knockdown, off the top of my head, vexed voritors have that. They are harder to find, and have some vulnerabilities, so that may or may not work for you. Also, since knockdown by all accounts doesn't work, you may want to question your customer whether or not they really want that or not. Vexed voritor also hits very hard, like MDH. Personally, I used to make a lot of pets with vexed voritor, but I stopped doing that 3-4 months ago when it became clear that knockdown was an undesirable special for a pet to have.

Thanks for your input, my main problem really is the electricity resist, if you do a search on swgcreatures.com for creatures with level <75 with kinetic >50% and electricity >50% you end up with 4 creatures and they only have disease as specials. If i go below 50% Kinetic resist the creature will not satisfy the customer .. it seems like i have to give up on these creatures.

Nah, it just means that you have to be more creative (and work a little harder). If you put your high kinetic, high electricity creatures in slots 1-4 and the creature whose specials you want in slot 5, you'll have a creature with slightly lower kinetic and electricity resists then you want and the specials that you want. no problem at all. re-sample that, and prey for a VHQ sample. If you get that, once again, put your high kinetic, high electricity samples in 1-4, and your new VHQ2nd-gen dna in slot 5, and this time you'll have your high kinetic, high electricity creature with the specials that you want. It's when you start farting around with breeding in specials from multiple dna slots and such that you run into all sorts of complications.

I would go for

delirous merek avenger (DMA), delirous merek avenger ,

Bark mite burrower, merek deaths heads,

merek deaths heads

Experiment physique until fortitude gets over 500 and prowess up until its just below physique

This usually gives level 35 (ish) with light armour 50 - 60 kinetic an something like 10k 10k 9k ham.

Make sure you have very high quality samples for the MDH's to increase your chances of getting the specials through.

Hope this helps.

For the poison and disease I would go with BMBQ in slots 1-3 then Merek Death's Head in 4 and 5, then replace the Merek Deaths Head with samples from the first gen to make a second gen combine - rinse and repeat as many times as you desire, assuming you can get enough VHQ and HQ samples within 3-4 gens you should have a pet with 60 kinetic and 80 electricity strong poison and disease

I bow to your greater knowledge, the reason i try for less generations is because the time taken to make pets like this means that i would either have to sell them for a lot of money (not prepaired to do that) or take a loss on the amount of time/travelcosts/insureance that it takes to make one.

I am currently spending all my BE time obsessivly trying to make a Level 70 fellow but at a rate of 1 sample per three deaths when sampling on dath its a slow business!

i tried your recipe Nancy and with 2 experiments on the HAM stats on the first gen it came out as a lvl30 with about 9000HAM. On the second gen i maxed the HAM stats and i got a 11000HAM lvl30 creature with about 50 kin and 80 electricity. The specials that i got was KD and crippling, guess i must have used to low quality on the samples. I'm gonna try it again later when i have a little more time. Thanks for your help

Specials can be tricksey little buggers - I think the more you want a particular special to stick the more likely that it will pick some random special from somewhere else lol

I've always had success getting the specials I want (and ranged) by placing that dna in slots 3 and 5.

If you were getting both specials from the grassland voritor tracker then its likely they it was high quality than the seething bol crusher, try making sure they're both VHQ or HQ samples

Alternatively you could do a combo of
BMBQ, Blurrg Sand Crawler, Blurrg Sand Crawler, Ravenous Torton, Ravenous Torton

then just keep resampling with the clone in slots 4 and 5 eventually I got it (in the lab) to 53 Kinetic, 88 electricity 10K HAM, if i then took that and replaced the blurrg sandcrawlers as well I could get light armour on as well with 55 kinetic and 84 electric but its probably not worth the risk and the CL would likely be too high

It all comes down to how much you like this customer and how much she's paying you

What she's asking for can be achieved but it will take a lot of effort.

Never give up

Just as a starter so you can see what we're talking about - try

Bark Mite Burrow Queen, Blurrg Sandcrawler, Blurrg Sandcrawler, Seething Bol Crusher,Grassland Voritor Tracker

Then BMBQ, Blurrg Sandcrawler, Blurrg Sandcrawler, 1st gen, 1st gen

you *should* get something with around 10k HAM, 55 Kinetic, 50 Energy, 80 Electricity and 80 Heat with KD and Dizzy Specials....

This is all theoretical, no idea what level it would come out but it has no armour (client didnt specify it but with an extra generation you should be able to get it) and a few vulns
