Recently, I started my first little dive into both the Bio Engineer and Creature Handler profession. At first, things were slow, but now are starting to pickup, save for a small stumbling block. Ive started playing around on Public crafting stations to see what I can do with the meager 2 experiment points I get. The last creature I made I was fairly happy with, at least I was at first.

The creature is a Cu Pa, and when he came out of the crafting station, he was level 16, had about 6-6.5k HAM, and 160-170 damage. Nothing to freak out over, but a small achievement for me at least. Having a few skills in Creature Handler, Im able to handle creatures up to level 16, so I got the Cu Pa out and started training. I taught him the few commands I could teach to get my little bit of XP, then turned him over to a slightly more advanced CH friend who could teach him a few more. However, once my friend got the CuPa from the trade screen, he got a message saying that the Stats did not match the level, and either the stats or the CL would have to be adjusted. Not wanting to nerf him too badly. Turns out he jumped from level 13 to level 17!

I was mainly just wondering if this is a common thing when crafting creatures, so I'll know to prepare ahead of time for CL to jump higher. It's a bit frustrating to make a creature with decent stats that I can train early on, only to watch his level jump higher than I can control, or be forced to watch his stats drop.

Anyways, thanks for any comments/advice ahead of time.

Unfortunately this is a very common problem

I never saw any jump more than 2 lvl (I guess 13 is a typo andyou meant 16 like you said above)

but unfortunatly it's a common problem

I find it really frustrating when you have a lvl 10 that you aim for some non-ch and it happens to go 11 or 12

Along to this problem you can craft some insane high HAM (did I saw recipe with 10k Health ?) lower or equal lvl10

I guess the to problem will be fixed at the same time by a better CL calculation formula

By the way : when you first tame the pet's CL adjustment is never made... from my experience it is always at the second call

welcome in the profession !

I have yet to experience this... Yeah!!! Of coarse I usually just make CL10 or less Mountables out of yard trash, or High level stuff.

NancyJ is working on this Mr. New Guy. If it happens again let her know your recipe, so she can report it to the devs.

I moved to Corellia I have no vendor and I don't know the coords to my house, but it doesn't really matter cause all my pets are in the tool box, I may have some in space, but that doesn't really concern you either.
