Is it possible to sample Ancient Canyon Krayt's ? If so at what level? Is it worth the risk?

Enraged Rancors and Kimogilas (regular ones) have been sampled before, but the success rate is like 1 sample per 100 attempts. That is a lot of attempts, and the DNA isn't significantly better than a Mutant, which when I was a master BE had a success rate of about 1 in 5 or so.
If it is possible to sample an Ancient Canyon Krayt, nobody would ever find out because it would take an average of around 1000+ samples before you got one (and since it goes up on a curve, it could be closer to 10000), and nobody is going to be able to keep mask scent up on the things for one sample, let alone 1000-10000 samples. Kimogilas at just under CL 100 break mask scent probably 75-80% of the time. I'm guessing a cl 300 Krayt is going to break mask 99.9% of the time at least.
So, you do the math hear, and it takes 1000 approaches per attempt, and over 1000 attempts per successful sample, and it is pretty much impossible even if it were technically possible.
But I dont' think it is anyway, the friend of mine who got the Kimogila samples said he tried a Giant Dune Kimogila, which is cl 300 or near it, and he got some kind of funky message and it wouldn't let him attempt to sample it's DNA.
So, all that to say, no, no you can't sample an Ancient Canyon Krayt.

you USED to be able to sample anything, but they hard-coded a CL75 cap in one of the patches, so even if you did sample an ancient krayt 10,000 or 100 million times you could never, ever get DNA from it. MR, the only CL75 creature in the game, is the highest you can everget DNA from under the current system

No mater people say... you never know until you try.
well you cant prove a negative, first of all, and second the devs told us it was CL75 max, and I think they'd know =)

/takes droid327 aside and tells him he was just kidding, and explaines that he wants others to realize the joy of such things as getting killed over and over again by things like Kimos and Enraged Rancors while trying to get an IN-FRICKIN-POSSIBLE sample!
/also mentions that he never had the cojones to go after a KRAYT! Besides I just wanted to hear the follow-up story.

You better believe it... wasn't that half the fun? Finding out that you shouldn't do things... the HARD WAY.
Like when you first realized that tuskens were way harder to kil than in KOTAR... lol
And like that cloning does have a use. And running from and shooting at lesser womp rats outside of Espa... lol.

Also there are rumors that if you have trouble using KD specials that if you train your pets backwards you can get it to work consistantly. There is a thread on this that explains it in detail, Perhaps our corespondent can direct you to it if you have trouble locating it.
