Hello everyone first time post
Well basicly my question boils down to how to get armor on a CL 15-25 range. I currently have a full back pack of MH dna and have been working with voritor dashers. am i using the wrong dna?
i tryed MH-MH-2ND GEN VD-2ND GEN VD- 2ND GEN VD maxing out the foritude line on the dasher. still falling shy of 500 or if i get over 500 i go up inot the level 30-40 area.
thanks for any help

Take the Cl 30ish pets you're making and sample them for multi-gen pets. Depending on the damage those clones have you may have to go 3rd gen to get the CL low enough

This is from experience: getting CL15 with Light Armour is very difficult (i think I got it on the 15th generation) - my best advice to you is to keep the aggression pool as low as possible and really only experiment on the physique line else you will find that you keep getting high level pets. Also keeping the fortitude as close to 500 as possible is probably your best shot, so try mixing up some kreetle or dwarf nuna in the aggression / mental slots

Well i was able to get a CL 23 9k/5k/5k with light armor 60% kinetic and 5% blast vuln to the rest. 120-130 attack with special 1 blank and special 2 stunning strike.
Ok now i used horned voritor and voritor dasher to make my first gen dna. Now i think i messed up with this i got 5 samples and instead of using those 5 samples in one dna template i did MH,MH,2genx3. Now i had to do alot of resampleing cuase i think when i use the Mh dna it brought my CL back up (am i correct on that part?)
Anyhow was fun going to have to go get more dna tonight
Next part is to figure out how to balance out my HAM with out increasing the CL to much

Armor on any animal is completely dictated by fortitude. To get armor on any animal you must have a fortude above 500. You accomplish this by selecting DNA that either has light armor to begin with or has a high fortitude. Experiment until the fortitude gets to 500 or above.
By using mutli-generation DNA and experimenting the fortitude above 500 it is possible to get a lower level animal with light armor. You sacrifice other stats because of this though. You'll have a high health low action and mind animal with light armor.
You'll never have light armor on an animal with a fortitude below 500.

That's bizzare. I've never had that happen on any animals I've made. Everytime I get a fortitude of 500 or more I've always had light armor show up. Has this happened to you more than once?
The lowest level I've been able to get light armor is CL21. I know of friends that have made lower level animals and I might have been able to resample the animal to get a lower creature level myself but the stats were already so out of wack. Huge health with low action and mind. The slightest bit of mind damage would put the animal on the ground, armor and all.

I've had this happen once before. I had fortitude just over 500 and then had a failure experimenting agression. It killed the armor somehow.

Ah okay. I've had critical failures that have effected other stats. I don't think I've had light armor go away like you've seen but I have had stats change or become vulnerable. Sometimes it's to my advantage to fail.

This is a dna sample correct and not a template? What I observed last week was that it is actually possible to sample a creature, and have the dna sample have higher fortitude then the original creature had (not a great deal higher, but slightly higher). Strange, but true. VHQ samples rule

Oh I didn't realize the shot was of a DNA sample and not the stats of a BE finished product. Its all clear now. (I need another beer) Yes, like Arthur said, you can get a sample of DNA with high fortitude without the wild animal showing light armor on the exam. Those are the best type if you're looking to make a lower level animal with armor.
