Hello all. I'm looking at traveling up "most" of the Bio-Engineering lines. I'm really just in it for the food crafting abilities (I know, please don't hate me), but have decided to give it a good run. I'm looking at maxing out three of the four lines and I'm wondering which of those lines are the least important. I was considering not taking any of the medical experiment lines as it just seems the least appealing. Any basic input to help this Chef turned Bio turned Bio Chef would be great. Thanks!

Many thanks for the answers! Didn't even notice the pluses on the fourth line... Phew, that will save me some time =)

Thanks again, and if anyone else wants to chime in with info, I'm open ears!

For tissue crafting you will want BE 0404 - This gives you all of the tissues except BSN and gives you all of the experimentation/assembly points you need. The other 2 lines won't help you in you crafting at all.

You need the medic line for the experimentation points. Most components will take 8 or so points to bump up the quality of the tissues to acceptable levels. With 0/4/0/4 you can make most of additives at you'd use with the exception of the heavy nutrients (INN's). I am not a Chef so you'd have to check on which food you'd be missing out on. The other two lines are completely pet-crafting related and pretty much go hand in hand - that is with only 1 branch you'd either make powerful Durni's or weak Razor Cat's. Hope this helps.

I am a Master Chef with 0404 in BE, because I used to be a Doctor before the CU and I have a very expensive suit lol.. but the foods your missing out on are basically the higher end stuff like, Thundercloud, Vegisprine, Vercupti or anything that needs a large addative.

What I do is, another guildie has Master BE, so she makes my INN's for me. Before she decided to go Master BE, I purchased a schematic from a Master BE by finding one willing to do it, taking a sample of my resources to the BE, taking the schematic home and popping it into the factory. If your on the Ahazi server, Tava would be more than happy to do that for you. But if you wish to be a successful Chef and offer the best variety you can, as well as the higher priced items for your pocket book, you will need INN's. Find a good and reliableBE and work out a deal!

Good Luck hun!
