You need the medic line for the experimentation points. Most components will take 8 or so points to bump up the quality of the tissues to acceptable levels. With 0/4/0/4 you can make most of additives you'd use with the exception of the heavy nutrients (INN's). I am not a Chef so you'd have to check on which food you'd be missing out on.

There are a number of chef foods that only allow the use of a heavy supplement be it nutrient, or batch enlarging, or flavor enhancing (to extend buff time) or filling reducing. The high end foods and drinks, such as bivoli tempari, vercupti, and mandalorian wine won't take the mediums or lights, it's got to be heavy. The supplement also has to be converted into a food additive to fit into the chef schematic (just add water!), and that ability is only granted at the master chef box.

Unless its changed you can still use a lower tissue in a higher slot...so a Heavy can take a medium or light.

I personally am Master Chef and 0404 BE. When I need INNs...I talk to a friend who is master.

ACK, you're right what was mesa thinking!

Yes, a schematic that allows heavy will also allow medium or light supplements.

The thing is, why would you want to? Customers DEMAND the higher buff, for the most part, although I've run into a few who want other stats manipulated, and I always check to see what their most critical concern is: power, time, fill, or batch.

Admitedly it is a pretty pointless thing to do...but its best to at least know its possible in case there is a situation where it is useful.
