Thread: Is there a reason why our experimentation wasn't fixed?

With all the other crafting changes, upgrades and tweaks why wasn't our experimentation fixed to behave properly?

I really enjoy this class, but things like this are starting to get depressing

They can't even create a simple default macro /sampledna so the novice BE's don't have to spend hours figuring out how to sample a minor worrt.

They wanted to be able to brag that they have mounts now is why. Don't matter that critters need balanced along with our clone line. I think it because we so messed up in clone line that itr take longer. Who knows, not like the Devvs tell us anything that can be considered as true when they say something is fixed even if missed the 2 patch ago but was ready. They bring in new critters just for mounts but we out of that loop for same reason as above.

Experimentation wasn't fixed because it was more important to create new bugs for us to find. If outstanding issues from beta gets addressed without new bugs created, some manager could be lead to believe that they could get by with fewer developers and shift an existing programmer into a potentially profitable project such as a purchasable expansion pack.

So to our BE developer, keep up the great work in pretending to address our issues and adding more issues to the existing list, in order to garner more help that you need to tackle the issue of transitioning BE class from a developmental stage to a retail stage playability.

Yes it was not fixed because the experiment to fix the experimentaion was a complete critical failure.

----
So they lost all the material needed to complete it.
----

ok that was not a good answer.....lets try this...

-----
Well the experimentaion is going to be changed, so that now there will be improved items to do the resulting experiments with, which will allow you to color your creatures(with the pallettes for the creatures only), and will allow you to change all aspects of the creature you make as now their will only be template designs configured for just what the creature looks like.
-----

Ok that sounds too close to what we have now...how about this.

-----
The experimentation is down right now, but we expect to get it working on our next planned hotfix which is schedualed for next week.
----

and lastly this is one of my favorite reasons

----
Experimentation will not be seen tonight, we now bring you our regularly schedualed program of NERFs, Hotfixes, and Empty Promises already in progress.
----

Hope that answers your question

Actually you may not have been on the forums when we actually got some feedback from the dev. We were told that they are completly redoing the Bioengineer cloning system. It's so broken that it's easier for them to make a new one and fix the bugs in that than to fix our current one. We were told when they fixed tissues that cloning would be fixed in teh second big patch after that. The mounts/cities is the first big patch since then, so it should be in the patch at the end of November / start of december. It's a long time to wait for a working class, but I'm not really going to complain if they actually do it properly for a change. What was due to be in the new system will make clones worth buying.

heh...i was on the forums since the beginning.

I have been a Bio-engineer Master for a long while.

Thats why I said the second thing...about the color and stuff.

I've been on the forumsand haveseenthat same proposal. Twice now, with the similar one just recently posted as an upadate

The cloning changes that are (supposedly) coming I would assume will have very little to do with an actual change in the basic mechanics of how experimentation works (ie: risk, percentage of success and failure, etc) which is shared with every other crafting class.

As it stands now we have broken clones, near impossible material needs for tissues, and our final stage of clone crafting on the ones that do work is a one shot chance.

This is becoming unacceptable.
